00:00Here's kind of what took place, and we talked to Steve Kerr about it yesterday, which is
00:04that after the game against Washington over the weekend, Jordan Poole was quoted by saying
00:10about the Warrior Locker Room, I love those guys over there, and then he stops and he
00:15goes, I love most of those guys over there.
00:18And that got tweeted out by Mark Spears and Draymond Green responded to it by saying,
00:24I really am sorry on Twitter, okay?
00:28Now he sits down for his Draymond Green Show podcast with Barron Davis, and this conversation
00:35comes up.
00:36I responded because, you know, like, it's been three years, like, let's move on, you
00:43know?
00:44Where's the love?
00:45We've moved on.
00:46Like, let's move on, man, I really am sorry, like, that statement was, it was kind of like
00:52it was looking for some sympathy, you know what I'm saying?
00:56I kind of keep wanting to make me out to be the bad guy, move on, bro, like, it is
01:00what it is.
01:01I'm sorry, like, I shouldn't have punched him, but, you know, it happened, like, let's
01:07move on, man.
01:09I even apologized to his parents, you know, I got, I got, his dad popped off one time
01:15on the internet, and I went back at him because it was just like, bro, why are you popping
01:19off?
01:20And I actually didn't like myself for it because I wasn't even on that, you know what
01:27I'm saying?
01:28I was like, I kind of had him get me off my square a little bit.
01:32What a weird thing to say.
01:35Which part of it?
01:37A lot of it, but I can focus on one thing for sure.
01:41Jaymond Green decided in, in reading, he wasn't in the locker room with Jordan Poole, was
01:48he?
01:49He didn't go to Washington's locker room.
01:51I don't think so.
01:52So he read Twitter where it says, I love those guys over there.
01:56I love most of those guys over there, which I took to simply be Jordan factually correcting
02:03himself.
02:04I love those guys over there.
02:06Hold on.
02:07I love most of those guys over there.
02:08Because by the way, I don't love Draymond Green, which is like, well, and he may not
02:12know like Kyle Anderson.
02:14He may not know Dennis Schroeder, you know, it is a leap that we are like, and of course
02:19Draymond made this leap.
02:20It's definitely all about you, right, Draymond?
02:22But it probably is.
02:24But I take that to be a simple factual statement.
02:29I love those guys over there.
02:30I love most of those guys over there.
02:33By the way, I don't love Draymond Green, dot, dot, dot, hello, obvious.
02:40Factual statement.
02:41Draymond Green just stated on his podcast that that statement was quote, looking for
02:45sympathy.
02:46What?
02:47No, it's not.
02:52In what ways Jordan pool by factually just stating, oh, by the way, let me self correct.
02:59I don't love all of those guys over there.
03:01I love most of them.
03:03Draymond's a jerk.
03:04That's not looking for sympathy.
03:06That is a flat, factual statement about his own feelings.
03:12There is no sympathy search there.
03:15That's a very odd way for Draymond to process this.
03:20And then in the very next sentence to say that that's Jordan trying to make me out to
03:26be the bad guy.
03:28Okay.
03:29Two things.
03:30First of all, no, it's not.
03:31Again, it's a factual statement about his feelings, but here's the hard part, Draymond,
03:37you are, you are, you have to own that.
03:44There's no way around this and to go on throughout the rest of this statement.
03:50And it wasn't even subtle with the fact that he feels very, very justified in what he did,
03:58which is fine.
03:59He's allowed to feel the way he wants to feel, even though I don't think anyone in the world
04:03agrees with him other than apparently Baron Davis, but do where's the love?
04:08Are you really going to say someone's making you out to be the bad guy?
04:15You are, you are in this case.
04:20I don't know.
04:21How do you escape that very, very odd.
04:26Well, it's odd that, you know, he can continues to try to make it a thing.
04:32Like Jordan said what he said, he tweeted what he tweeted and you know, Draymond, I
04:36truly am.
04:37Sorry.
04:39You could just leave it at that.
04:40And I'm looking at the comments that he made back in October of 2022 when it happened.
04:45And he talks about Jordan's feelings are most important.
04:49To be honest, I don't know how he really feels.
04:52That's not a bridge we really crossed yet, nor should it be a bridge we should cross
04:56yet.
04:57And this is in the immediate aftermath.
04:58So Jordan's feelings are most important is what he said back in October of 2022.
05:05And now it doesn't seem like he's that concerned with Jordan's feelings.
05:09Listen to what he said next.
05:10You know, I'll be kind of going back and forth with this on like, I'll be kind of in between
05:15on certain days like, yo, I know I was wrong, but you can't call a man a B word and push
05:22him and not get hit either.
05:24You know, so I kind of, you know, so I kind of sit in both of those spaces sometimes.
05:30Like the reality is, the answer is probably somewhere in the middle, right?
05:35I shouldn't have knocked him out like that.
05:37If anything, I should have him him up kind of was just a natural reaction.
05:41So the reality is like, I probably should have him up or something like that.
05:47Yeah, the answer is not in between.
05:48You shouldn't have done it.
05:49Period.
05:50Now we move on.
05:51Well, and the answer is more nuanced than that, because I just Googled Draymond called
05:57KD a blank.
06:00He's done.
06:01It comes from twenty eighteen Draymond Green suspended for calling Kevin Durant the B word.
06:06So you just don't call another man that, OK, I agree with that.
06:11So you called KD that and and many others and KD didn't come up and hem you up, nor
06:17did he knock you out.
06:19You got suspended for it.
06:20So Jordan Poole allegedly reportedly calls you that.
06:24And now you're going to roll up to him and you're going to knock him out.
06:27So for me, the double standard is profound and it's clear.
06:32And for him to continue to try to make himself right after the incident is what, you know,
06:38makes me kind of lose respect for him, because Jordan's allowed to feel what he feels about
06:44the situation.
06:45And if Jordan feels still like he's not good with it, then Jordan's allowed to feel that
06:51way.
06:52And, you know, Draymond, he's allowed to feel the way he feels.
06:55But to keep like bringing this up and to try to exonerate himself through podcasts
07:00and tweets, it just rings hollow.
07:03Well, and then the dripping hypocrisy of the two of them going into the conversation about
07:13time to move on while you're the two that are sitting here doing a podcast about it
07:18three years later.
07:21I mean, Dre, you didn't need to go to Twitter if you're really of that mind.
07:27Time to let it go.
07:28Time to move on.
07:29Then lead the way.
07:31Let it go.
07:33All Jordan Poole did was talk to reporters who asked him about the Warrior locker room.
07:38And he said, I love those guys over there.
07:41Actually, I love most of those guys over there.
07:43I don't know.
07:44I found that to be the most obvious statement of all time.
07:47Right.
07:48Now, is anybody else out there wondering if Jordan Poole actually kind of likes Draymond
07:53Green?
07:54I wasn't.
07:55I was pretty sure that we're all set there.
07:59We're moving on.
08:00You don't like him.
08:01You don't like you.
08:02That's the end of that.
08:04There's never going to be any coming back.
08:06Jordan's not going on the show.
08:09Just I, man, you know me and I like Draymond Green being on the Warriors does not.
08:17It doesn't trigger me.
08:18It doesn't trouble me.
08:20I understand.
08:21He's a showman.
08:22He is always going to talk too much.
08:25That is his persona.
08:26It's his brand.
08:27He does it very well.
08:28He's been incredibly important to a dynasty.
08:31None of those things ever go away.
08:34But of all the things that he said, and they bother people a lot, this one just made me
08:40totally scratch my head.
08:44And it's not even about the appropriateness.
08:46I literally listened to it and I'm like, how on earth can you feel that way?
08:51How on earth can you think Jordan was looking for sympathy?
08:55How on earth can you think that there is debate over who's the bad guy in this subject?
09:00Well, there are people who think that he had it coming to him.
09:06There are people who think that, are you telling me that there aren't those people?
09:10We've had those people call in.
09:11Oh, right.
09:12No, no, no.
09:13I'm saying, oh God, to that idea.
09:14Right.
09:16Jordan put his hands on him and Jordan called him the B word.
09:19Therefore, some think that he deserved to get what he got.
09:24And so that notion is out there.
09:27And you know, the fact that the team didn't suspend Draymond and all the rest of it.
09:31I do think that Draymond is still trying to like win the breakup, so to speak.
09:36And forget the fact that KD probably left because of not wanting to play with Draymond.
09:42That's my own guess.
09:44That's my own conjecture in the matter.
09:47But it's clear that Jordan Poole is moving on and Jordan Poole doesn't miss playing with
09:53Draymond Green.
09:54So how many other people does Draymond have to drive out of the organization?
09:57And in this case, I do think that Draymond is still trying to win the breakup where,
10:04you know, he's trying to cast Jordan Poole in a light and he's saying, you know, basically
10:09that Jordan Poole is trying to get sympathy.
10:13And you know, Draymond Green is all but calling him a name at the same time.
10:18This one just like maybe I'm the dummy here.
10:21This one stunned me.
10:23I'm like, how on earth can a person look at life through that lens?
10:27You don't get to tell someone when it's time to forgive you.
10:32Period.
10:33Right.
10:34Nor do you get to tell somebody when it's time for them to get over it.
10:37And that's what Draymond said.
10:39You know, he needs to get over it.
10:41And it doesn't have to be something that he ever gets over.
10:44He doesn't want to.
10:45They're not teammates anymore like that.
10:47I don't know.
10:48Let me ask you a question that I already know the answer to anybody in your world that you've
10:53decided I'm never going to forgive you.
10:55Who me?
10:56Yeah.
10:57Wait, are you asking me or are you asking somebody else?
11:00Are you asking Captain Grudge if there is somebody or some people that I still harbor
11:08ill will toward?
11:09Yes, I did.
11:10I asked you that.
11:11Okay.
11:12Would you like me to give you a list?
11:14Because if I started the list.
11:15No, because I won't have heard of any of them.
11:16We would have.
11:17I know.
11:18No, you'd heard of some of them.
11:19Really?
11:20But this list would go on and on and on.
11:23I'm not going to tell you until I get my revenge on these people.
11:26I don't want them to see me coming.
11:28But the answer is yes, Mark.
11:29Yeah.
11:30I'm a believer in forgiveness.
11:32I certainly think.
11:33That kid who punched me at the Mervin's 44 years ago?
11:37Yeah.
11:38Mervin's?
11:39Yeah.
11:40What were you all doing at Mervin's?
11:42Shopping.
11:4344 years ago.
11:441980.
11:45Were you 11?
11:46You were cruising around at Mervin's?
11:47I was 12.
11:48What are you doing?
11:49Shout out to Northgate Mall?
11:50No, this was Petaluma Plaza.
11:51Okay.
11:52Thank you for listening.
11:53But yeah, Northgate Mall, rest in peace, by the way.
11:56It's still live.
11:57It's okay.
11:58No, no, no.
11:59It's going.
12:00But not yet.
12:01Yeah.
12:02It's here.
12:03And Mervin's rest in peace?
12:04I think Mervin's made it.
12:05Yes.
12:06All right, people.
12:07Northgate Mall.
12:08That's like everybody's parents.
12:09You're like, yeah, they're going soon.
12:10But they're still here.
12:11Dude, I spent a lot of time.
12:12Take it easy.
12:13I was at the Northgate Mall before either one of you even knew what that was.
12:17I don't care how long you've been there.
12:19I'm telling you that I got my hair cut there yesterday.
12:22So it's still there.
12:23That's Northgate 1.
12:25I hope you gave it.
12:26That is Northgate 1.
12:28I hope you paid your last respects to Northgate Mall.
12:31But anyway, Mervin's.
12:33I was shopping, Mark.
12:35Shopping for some geranimals.
12:37Anyway, I'm a believer in forgiveness.
12:40I'm a believer in grudges.
12:42And if you're all still like working together or being together or whatever, like, okay.
12:49Okay.
12:50Is it good if we like, let's find common ground.
12:53I'm a believer in all of that.
12:54Jordan Poole lives and works across the country right now.
12:57If he wants to hate you for the rest of his life, it's totally justified.
13:01And you don't get to tell him when it's time to move on or turn the page.
13:06What a strange thing to be said by someone who calls people a bee seemingly every Tuesday.
13:12Right.
13:13Like, what?
13:15I just, listen, I remain a fan of the guy.
13:18I'll never, I'll never not be.
13:20He's Draymond Green.
13:22But of all the strange things for someone to say publicly, this one was just like, what?
13:29You can't think, you're not allowed to think that.
13:32That's so crazy that you think that.
13:35He's making me out to be the bad guy.
13:38Well, he is.
13:39You knocked him out.
13:40You are the bad guy.
13:41Totally.
13:42And, you know, this is where I don't want to re-adjudicate the whole situation,
13:47but the level of outrage that he and the organization felt toward the person who leaked the video,
13:55not the actual act itself.
13:57And I'm reading Draymond's quote here.
13:59Quote, I thought it was BS.
14:02No other videos leak from practice.
14:04When we're working on our sets, that don't leak.
14:07And he said he watched the video maybe 15 times and it looks even worse than he thought it was.
14:12But it felt to me like the organization was more angry at the leaker than they were at the actual puncher.
14:19So, I don't know.
14:22Yeah.
14:23I mean, that's the whole, like, I mean, we've talked all that out.
14:27So many times.
14:28I get what you're saying.
14:29This one just, I was like, really?
