We review Costa Coffee's Spanish Latte and discover a luxurious sweet treat! #CostaCoffee #SpanishLatte
Transcript
00:00Hi this is Ria and I'm at Derby Costa trying out the new Spanish Latte in a
00:07medium size. Now it's one of the latest drinks in the range, it looks quite
00:12pretty, let me show you. So this is the Costa Coffee Spanish Latte in a medium
00:19size, so it's made with condensed milk. I've asked for an all-milk base and
00:27they've got chocolate sprinkles on top.
00:34So I'm about three sips in and I'm finding it quite strong but it's not as
00:42sweet as expected it to be. I've heard people say that because of the condensed
00:48milk addition it's quite on this on the sweet side but I don't find that maybe
00:55because I have got a bit of a sweet tooth, I have sweet teeth actually. It's
01:02rich, it's flavoursome and I think it's the perfect winter drink so well done Costa.
01:11You know me, I love food and drink matching and food and drink pairing so
01:17with the Spanish Latte I ordered the Millionaire Shortbread. What I found is,
01:26let me show you, I found that the chocolate slab topping along with the
01:39lovely unctuous caramel slice with the crumbly shortbread was a really good
01:48combination to go alongside the Spanish Latte. So although the
01:55Millionaire Shortbread is not on the new menu, it's a firm favourite and a staple
02:00thank God because it's one of my favourite go-tos whenever I go to Costa, I
02:05paired the Millionaire Shortbread with the Spanish Latte. Now I eat it like the
02:12upside down because the shortbread is always buttery and crumbly so if I eat it
02:16like this way up, the way it's meant to be served, the shortbread goes everywhere so
02:21I just flip it upside down, enjoy it, no wastage of crumbs.
