00:00 I think it's safe to say it's officially cosy season. Crunchy leaves on the ground, warm
00:07 jumpers and hot drinks. It is the perfect time to get warmed up from the inside out.
00:13 Whether you need your caffeine fix to get you going in the morning or somewhere to use
00:18 as your second office, we have a roundup in no particular order of the best independent
00:23 coffee shops in Liverpool. 92 degrees is named so as apparently that's the perfect temperature
00:29 for extracting an espresso with great body and flavour. There are three branches across
00:34 the city on Harbour Street, Jamaica Street and Myrtle Street respectively. All have their
00:39 unique charms so you might want to compare and contrast to find your personal favourite.
00:44 They even have an app to make it easy for customers to order and earn points for money
00:48 off. Ropes and Twines is a cosy coffee shop and wine bar on Bold Street, perfect for hanging
00:54 out with friends or solo. The quirky venue has comfy seats to the coffee bar and they
00:58 sell their speciality coffee for you to take home. Food is also available alongside your
01:02 favourite drink to keep you fuelled up. It also has the advantage of being a day to night
01:06 venue so once your work or studying is done you can celebrate with a tipple from the well
01:11 stocked coolers. Crosby Coffee Roasters have a quaint little coffee shop on Lark Lane which
01:17 has the advantage of being within a short walk of the stunning Sefton Park. The indoor
01:22 seating is limited so you might have to be savvy about your time of arrival when the
01:26 crowds aren't about. As well as the incredible array of sweet treats you can even buy bags
01:31 of their coffees to take home with you. Cafeteria D'Antonio in the Metcourt is probably as
01:36 well known for its owner as it is for its coffee. Run by Antonio, if you offer a delicious
01:42 drink made by someone who is truly passionate about coffee this might be the place for you.
01:47 There are plenty of seats next to the stall and Antonio is always up for a chat. A range
01:52 of irresistible Italian sweet treats are also on offer. Bold Street Coffee offers a range
01:58 of coffee and teas including iced versions and dairy alternatives of oat, almond and
02:03 coconut milk. The independent venue also serves delicious breakfast buoys with a variety of
02:08 fillings and oh boy are they tasty. There isn't a ton of indoor seating but it is great
02:13 for grabbing a drink and if you are wrapped up warm the bench outside is perfect for people
02:18 watching. Ditto Coffee opened on Jamaica Street in 2018 and continues to thrive serving
02:24 up hot drinks to those who live and work in the Baltic Triangle. The venue is small but
02:28 there is a cosy seating area upstairs and a range of hot drinks and treats available
02:32 including vegan options. People who work locally get discounts and there is a loyalty card
02:37 scheme too. We know this list isn't exhaustive as we are blessed in Liverpool to have so
02:44 many fabulous independent coffee shops but we hope we gave you some inspiration. Next
02:50 time you are looking to head out for your caffeine fix and a cosy place to take shelter
02:53 why not forego the chains and support your local bean brewers.
