00:00One of the important stories in Surah Hud is the story of Prophet Noah, as a long history
00:29that shows how persistent Prophet Noah was in his struggle to convey the truth of faith.
00:35And this is what we would like to learn together in this episode of Ulang Kaji.
00:59A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
01:43As-salamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
01:46Alhamdulillah wa salatu wasalamu ala Rasulillah wa ala alihi wa manwala.
01:50Shadadillah, ilaha illallah, shadadina Muhammadin, abduhu wa rasuluh.
01:53Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in.
01:57Amma ba'du.
01:58How are you?
01:59Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah have mercy on you.
02:00We meet again in My Quran Time.
02:02Quran Salat Infaq once again today.
02:04Together, we are re-reading from two pages that we have studied this week.
02:10The pages 225 and 226.
02:13And today, we are together with our panel star,
02:18which is Al-Fadhil Ustaz Dr. Shafiq Shahimi.
02:21How are you, Ustaz?
02:22Alhamdulillah, I'm fine.
02:23Alhamdulillah, Ustaz.
02:24Alhamdulillah, Ustaz.
02:25And also, Al-Fadhil Ustaz Timizi.
02:26How are you?
02:27Alhamdulillah, Ustaz.
02:28Today, we can ask a lot of questions.
02:30That's right.
02:31A lot, yes.
02:32For us together to bring out and also to gain insight from pages 225 and 226.
02:39And today, we are together with our friends from Muallim.
02:44That's right.
02:45Sahabat Muallim Perak.
02:46Muallim Perak, yes.
02:47From what association, Ustaz?
02:49From the name, Sahabat Muallim.
02:51Oh, Sahabat Muallim.
02:52I have to ask a bit more.
02:54MashaAllah.
02:55And also, to Guru Islih Qawamah who is in the studio,
02:58who is at home, we pray that Allah continues to provide knowledge guidance.
03:03We want to pay attention to the 29th verse first.
03:16If earlier, Ustaz Timizi read the 30th verse.
03:19About how Allah will help or help me from Allah.
03:28But it starts from the 29th verse that we want to read first with Al-Fadl Ustaz Timizi.
03:33Please Ustaz.
03:34A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajim.
03:36Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
03:57A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rahim.
04:27Sadaqallahul Azeem.
04:38We have read the 29th verse.
04:48And in this verse, Ustaz Dr. Shafiq,
04:51there is a saying,
04:55because the people of Nabi Nuh said,
04:58go away,
04:59leave this person alone.
05:00The saying,
05:01that is interesting.
05:02Actually,
05:03rarely,
05:04until now,
05:05until the 12th verse,
05:06we do not find this saying.
05:07What does it mean?
05:08And why is it used in Surah Hud?
05:10Please Ustaz.
05:11Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
05:17Thank you, Ustaz Fazl,
05:19for the question that was asked earlier.
05:21To understand the meaning in the context of the verse,
05:24in the 29th verse from Surah Hud,
05:27we also need to go back a little,
05:31Ustaz Fazl.
05:32In the previous verse,
05:34in the 27th verse,
05:36Allah Ta'ala said,
05:47The word,
05:48ar-Raziluna,
05:49has never been repeated before.
05:50Never found.
05:51The same with Taurid.
05:52Giving meaning and indication,
05:53when this verse says,
05:55and when the people of Malak,
05:58Malak is used in the term,
06:00the group of VIPs at that time.
06:02Big people,
06:03VIPs,
06:04big people,
06:05those who had status in the time of Prophet Noah.
06:08They said,
06:09he said,
06:10I will not follow your preaching, O Noah.
06:12Those who follow you,
06:14are all ar-Raziluna.
06:16People who are lowly among us.
06:18People who have no status among us.
06:20People who are lowly.
06:22People who have no status.
06:24We,
06:25VIPs,
06:26so,
06:27if we want to follow you,
06:28there is,
06:29he has his strictness.
06:30Okay,
06:31his strictness.
06:32What is it?
06:33What is it?
06:34It is mentioned below,
06:35he said,
06:36Allahumma sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Muhammad.
06:38It is mentioned below,
06:39he said,
06:40if so,
06:41if we want to be with you,
06:43throw away the group of people who have no status,
06:46no meaning,
06:47people who have no status.
06:49Get out of that group,
06:50we will enter.
06:51Meaning,
06:52let this special group,
06:54it is the same.
06:55But those who have no status,
06:56no need.
06:57To the side.
06:58Prophet Noah answered with one answer,
07:01which Allah Ta'ala taught to Prophet Noah,
07:03he said,
07:04first,
07:05O rich people,
07:06I do not ask you for anything.
07:08I do not ask you for anything.
07:10First,
07:11so,
07:12that is the answer.
07:13Okay,
07:14not of personal interest.
07:15The second,
07:16And I cannot ignore those who have faith,
07:19And I cannot ignore those who have faith,
07:22because the value of faith on the side of Allah,
07:25is much greater than the value of your status.
07:29Those who have faith,
07:30even though they are lowly.
07:31Okay.
07:35Because all of them will meet Allah.
07:37At that time,
07:38who will save me if I reject them?
07:41So,
07:42the word Torah,
07:43in Arabic,
07:44is used in the word,
07:48which means,
07:49to distance one from a group.
07:51This verse shows that,
07:53to exclude people who have faith,
07:55in a group of people who have faith,
07:56because to exclude non-believers who have faith,
08:00is something that is forbidden in Islam.
08:02This happens in Surah Abasah.
08:04It is almost the same.
08:05Yes.
08:06In Abasah,
08:07when the Prophet, peace be upon him,
08:09wants to address the non-believers,
08:11who have status,
08:12and a blind companion comes,
08:14and wants to ask a question.
08:15Maybe,
08:16it is considered a question.
08:17That is a normal thing.
08:18You can ask later.
08:19Addressing the non-believers,
08:20may be more important,
08:21because they have a high status.
08:22But,
08:23Allah says,
08:24no.
08:25People who have faith,
08:26who have faith,
08:27even though they do not have a status in society,
08:29on the side of Allah,
08:30are far more noble and great,
08:32compared to those who have a status,
08:34if they do not want to believe.
08:35So,
08:36this verse means,
08:37it is a condition for all of us,
08:38to understand,
08:39in the context of the time of the Prophet,
08:41peace be upon him,
08:43the situation of the majority of the society,
08:45who reject Islam.
08:46And the Prophet, peace be upon him,
08:47really wants them to enter Islam.
08:48But,
08:49they set a condition,
08:50if we can join.
08:51But,
08:52these blind people,
08:53get out.
08:54Because,
08:55they do not follow the principle of Da'wah.
08:56What does it say?
08:57Those who have faith,
08:58among them,
08:59even though they are ordinary people,
09:00are far more noble,
09:01compared to those,
09:02who are VIP.
09:03But,
09:04they do not want to accept faith,
09:05to Allah,
09:06Azza wa Jalla.
09:07Thank you,
09:08Dr. Shafiq,
09:09for explaining to us.
09:10If we see,
09:11this Surah Hud,
09:12as a Surah Istiqamah,
09:13then,
09:14one of the functions,
09:15or formula of Istiqamah,
09:16is not to exclude the believers.
09:18Why?
09:19Because,
09:20these believers,
09:21are a big asset.
09:23In their lives.
09:24Because,
09:25they are honoured,
09:26by Allah,
09:27Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
09:28It does not matter,
09:29their status,
09:30their wealth,
09:31as Dr. Shafiq,
09:32explained a while ago.
09:33We want to continue,
09:34with the 32nd verse.
09:36When,
09:37Prophet Noah,
09:38had a lot of,
09:39his words,
09:40he said,
09:41in verse 29,
09:4230,
09:4331.
09:44Then,
09:45we continue,
09:46with verse 32,
09:47a response from,
09:48the people of Prophet Noah.
09:49What was their response?
09:51Verse 32,
09:52together with,
09:53Al-Fatiha.
10:23Surah Al-Fatiha.
10:36Surah Al-Fatiha,
10:37we have read,
10:38the 32nd verse,
10:39a response from,
10:40the people of Prophet Noah,
10:41peace be upon him.
10:42How,
10:43an example of a person,
10:44who is not possible,
10:45to do Istiqamah,
10:46I mean,
10:47stubborn people,
10:48will not do Istiqamah.
10:49What was their response?
10:50Later,
10:51in Qur'an time,
10:52Qur'an Salah Al-Infaq,
10:53Inshallah.
11:21In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

12:21Al-Fatiha.
12:51Al-Fatiha.
13:20Welcome back to,
13:21My Qur'an Time,
13:22Qur'an Salah Al-Infaq.
13:23Together,
13:24we are going through,
13:25the verses,
13:26or,
13:27surahs,
13:28225-226,
13:29that we have studied,
13:30and we want to repeat,
13:31what is the big lesson,
13:32or,
13:33the guidance,
13:34that we can take,
13:35that we need to take,
13:36to practice,
13:37in our daily lives.
13:38A moment ago,
13:39we have read,
13:40from the 32nd verse,
13:41a response from,
13:42the people of Prophet Noah,
13:43peace be upon him,
13:44stating,
13:51i.e. they stated,
13:52you have,
13:53had,
13:54disputed,
13:55with us,
13:56you have,
13:57opposed,
13:58with us.
13:59It's a long sentence.
14:00So,
14:01when we talk about,
14:02disputing,
14:03in the 32nd verse,
14:04if we look at,
14:05in Surah An-Nahl,
14:06in the next verse,
14:07verse 125,
14:08when we make da'wah,
14:12there is a dispute.
14:13So,
14:14they use the word,
14:15dispute,
14:16in Surah An-Nahl,
14:17there is a da'wah,
14:18there is a dispute,
14:19with certain people,
14:21in the context of the society now,
14:23there are those who say,
14:24we need to fight,
14:25for justice,
14:26we must also,
14:27dispute,
14:28this issue,
14:29that issue,
14:30there are various issues,
14:31what do you think?
14:32In the name of Allah,
14:33the most gracious,
14:34the most merciful,
14:40before we get into the context of the actual verse,
14:43we can see first,
14:45the words that Allah,
14:46the most gracious,
14:47uses in this,
14:50that is,
14:51O Noah,
14:52you have always debated,
14:54with us,
14:55we,
14:56that means,
14:57those who did not believe earlier,
14:58giving meaning and indication,
14:59among the actions of the Prophet Noah,
15:01peace be upon him,
15:02not only the sermon,
15:03but the Prophet Noah,
15:05peace be upon him,
15:06did the interaction of two parties,
15:07why don't you want to believe?
15:08Allah has created you,
15:09Allah has done this,
15:10so they also replied,
15:12the dispute,
15:13at that time,
15:14was done by the Prophet Noah,
15:16giving meaning and indication,
15:18to dispute,
15:19or debate,
15:20or dialogue,
15:21or discussion,
15:22one of the methods of Dawah,
15:24at that time,
15:25at the time of the Prophet Noah,
15:26peace be upon him,
15:27it means he was praised,
15:28because the Prophet Noah,
15:29did that thing,
15:30however,
15:31dear audience,
15:32is all that debate,
15:34praised?
15:35That is the question,
15:36if we open,
15:37in the hadith,
15:38of the Prophet Noah,
15:39peace be upon him,
15:40there is a prohibition,
15:41of the Prophet Noah,
15:42peace be upon him,
15:43to debate,
15:44among them,
15:45the Prophet Noah,
15:46peace be upon him,
15:47said,
15:51the Prophet said,
15:52not a single people,
15:54after getting the indication,
15:56except because they like to debate,
15:58eh,
15:59that is not allowed,
16:00Ustaz,
16:01so is this allowed or not,
16:02actually,
16:03is it necessary or not,
16:04actually,
16:05is this debate good or not,
16:06dear audience,
16:07the debate,
16:08was broken into two,
16:09the first,
16:10the first,
16:11the second,
16:12the second,
16:13the debate,
16:14dialogue,
16:15discussion,
16:16that was praised,
16:17what was done by the Prophet,
16:18in this context,
16:19that is,
16:20to establish the truth,
16:21and destroy the falsehood,
16:22what effort,
16:23to establish the truth,
16:24that was broken,
16:25meaning,
16:26there are not two truths,
16:27the truth is one,
16:28but the falsehood,
16:29is another,
16:30so,
16:31the Prophet Noah,
16:32peace be upon him,
16:33said,
16:34there are not two truths,
16:35the truth is one,
16:36the Tawheed to Allah,
16:37there is no term,
16:38is there Khilaf,
16:39the Tawheed to Allah,
16:40there is no Khilaf anymore,
16:41ok,
16:42what was brought by the Prophet Noah,
16:43peace be upon him,
16:44dear audience,
16:45if we want to see,
16:46what is the essence of the Dawah,
16:47of the Prophet Noah,
16:48we can open,
16:49in Surah Nuh,
16:50one Surah,
16:51the name is only Nuh,
16:52one Surah is only Nuh,
16:53ok,
16:54what was brought by the Prophet Noah,
16:55peace be upon him,
16:56what was brought by the Prophet Noah,
16:57is one thing that is clear,
16:59what I brought to them,
17:00is to bring them back to Allah,
17:01and there is no Khilaf,
17:02among the people,
17:03to bring the people back to Allah,
17:04as a difference of religion,
17:05or Khilaf 1,
17:062,
17:07and 3,
17:08meaning,
17:09the Prophet Noah,
17:10brought one principle,
17:11the most important,
17:12in Islam,
17:13which is called Aqidah,
17:14which is called Tawheed,
17:15to be brought to the people,
17:16to confirm that proof,
17:17the Prophet Noah,
17:18peace be upon him,
17:19had to,
17:20what is it called,
17:21had to,
17:22had to,
17:23had to,
17:24had to,
17:25had to,
17:26had to,
17:27have a dialogue,
17:28have a discussion,
17:29have a question and answer,
17:30so that the argument is strong,
17:32so,
17:33if there is an argument,
17:35or dialogue,
17:36that is used to confirm,
17:37the truth,
17:38that has no Khilaf,
17:39that we call,
17:40the question of the tree,
17:42then it must be confirmed,
17:44because that matter,
17:45is a matter that must be confirmed,
17:47by the Prophets,
17:48and all the people who follow the Prophet's work,
17:49but,
17:50if there is a dialogue,
17:52or debate,
17:53or clarification,
17:54and discussion,
17:55in a matter,
17:56in a matter,
17:57in a matter,
17:58where the truth can be two,
17:59can be three,
18:00can be four,
18:01whether you want to follow Shafi'i,
18:02or Maliki,
18:03Shafi'i is also true,
18:04Maliki is also true,
18:05which debate is better,
18:06what do you want to do,
18:07what do you want to do,
18:08both are true,
18:09right,
18:10you want to read,
18:11Qira' Wash,
18:12or Qira' Ibn Kathir,
18:13any debate is possible,
18:14which debate is better,
18:15why,
18:16so,
18:17ladies and gentlemen,
18:18this debate,
18:19is what the Prophet,
18:20peace be upon him,
18:21forbade,
18:22even,
18:23in one issue,
18:24we argue with our friends,
18:25for example,
18:26we say,
18:27put the trash bin here,
18:28or here,
18:29we argue,
18:30in a debate,
18:31the Prophet said,
18:32whoever leaves the debate,
18:35talking,
18:36with his mother,
18:37with his brother,
18:38with his friends,
18:39with his neighbors,
18:40in a situation,
18:41he is right,
18:42Allah will place him,
18:43in the middle of heaven,
18:45meaning special,
18:46he is right,
18:47he has the right argument,
18:49but that thing,
18:50that thing can,
18:51if you put it there,
18:52it's not wrong enough,
18:53if the decision is this,
18:54it's not wrong either,
18:55okay,
18:56so,
18:57debates like this,
18:58are neglected in Islam,
18:59why,
19:00because of debates,
19:01arguments,
19:02disputes,
19:03questions and answers,
19:04which do not give,
19:05benefits,
19:06or give good results,
19:07to the people,
19:08to the religion,
19:09it will add,
19:10damage to the people,
19:11because of that,
19:12the Prophet,
19:13peace be upon him,
19:14forbade,
19:15it's heavy,
19:16the people,
19:17debate with each other,
19:18we,
19:19if we observe,
19:20in the society,
19:21there are many trivial things,
19:22that are made into debates,
19:23and leave out,
19:24the basic things,
19:25the main things,
19:26to be avoided,
19:27to be debated,
19:28the things,
19:29that are indeed,
19:30broad,
19:31and to be brought,
19:32to be left,
19:33to the things,
19:34that are basic,
19:35the main things,
19:36in Islam,
19:37the things,
19:38the apostates,
19:39of the Muslims,
19:40the things,
19:41that are not controversial,
19:42right,
19:43the people who do not pray,
19:44are not controversial,
19:45we argue,
19:46the people who are praying,
19:47how do they want to pray,
19:48right,
19:49we debate,
19:50after praying,
19:51do we want to read,
19:52do we want to read,
19:53right,
19:54while those things,
19:55those who want to get up,
19:56and go straight away,
19:57are the private matters,
19:58the ones who sit and do zikr,
19:59there are arguments,
20:00the debate,
20:01is neglected,
20:02neglected,
20:03unless it is an intellectual quality,
20:04in order to understand,
20:05the people,
20:06but today,
20:07debate,
20:08is not to,
20:09state the truth,
20:10debate,
20:11is to see,
20:12who wins,
20:13when the purpose,
20:14of debate,
20:15is to show,
20:16who wins,
20:17the purpose,
20:18of debate,
20:19is already wrong,
20:20because Allah SWT said in the Quran,
21:02Allah Ta'ala said in the Quran
21:08I call you to the path of Allah
21:10with Hujjah, with Ilm
21:12That's why I'm asking
21:14I don't want to exaggerate the definition of Ilm Kalam
21:16But Ilm Kalam is one of
21:18its functions
21:20is to spread
21:22Hujjah, to establish the truth
21:24And that is what was said by Imam Abu'l Hasan Al-Ash'ari
21:26may Allah have mercy on him
21:28He was born in the era of Mu'tazilah
21:30who used
21:32falsafah, akal, hujjah
21:34So, to establish the truth
21:36he had to establish it
21:38with Hujjah
21:40There was a debate between him and his teacher
21:42between Hasan Al-Basri and his students
21:44and so on
21:46to establish Hujjah from falsehood
21:48Okay, we are the problem
21:50We want to follow the good imams
21:52But our discussion
21:54has gone to the things
21:56that should be discussed
21:58Finally, we are left with
22:00things related to national development
22:02national unity
22:04to save the young people
22:06who are not praying
22:08who fell into the pit of iniquity
22:10who coughed blood, who are illiterate
22:12The important things are left
22:14So, ladies and gentlemen
22:16I ask everyone
22:18to take the initiative from this
22:20If we want to debate, make sure
22:22to establish the truth
22:24This is the first thing
22:26The second thing is
22:28the intention of the debate
22:30is not to win the group
22:32but to win the truth
22:34We must hope that
22:36if the truth comes from the other side
22:38it will be beneficial for us
22:40This is the second thing
22:42The third thing is
22:44Prophet Noah needed
22:46Hujjah from Allah
22:48which is Wahyu
22:50So, every believer
22:52must agree with Wahyu
22:54Whatever is in Wahyu
22:56is the truth we hold
22:58and defend the truth
23:00even if our own children do not accept
23:02We will see in the verse
23:04about our own children not accepting
23:06Thank you Dr. Shafiq
23:08for explaining the word Jidal
23:10which appears in the 32nd verse
23:12which was questioned
23:14by the people of Prophet Noah
23:16but more than that
23:18the word Jidal or debate
23:20is not okay
23:22This should be
23:24studied
23:26so that the people
23:28are not busy
23:30with things that
23:32are more damaging
23:34to the country
23:36but return to the principle
23:38and of course we need to
23:40return to the basics
23:42of Wahyu, Al-Quran and Sunnah
23:44We want to continue
23:46after this from the 36th verse
23:48when Prophet Noah
23:50was asked to
23:52if it is too difficult
23:54to do Hujjah
23:56return the punishment you promised
23:58if you are right
24:00this is where Prophet Noah
24:02answered with Hujjah
24:04and what else
24:06was promised by Allah to Prophet Noah
24:08We will take a short break

25:46What to do?
25:48It's not that the night is peaceful or not peaceful
25:50If it's a sign from the Quran, it's just a greeting
25:52but if it's in a hadith,
25:54the only hadith that tells about its sign is
25:56the next morning,
25:58the sun is not too bright
26:00and the atmosphere
26:02in the morning
26:04is not too hot
26:06and not too cold
26:08it's moderate and comfortable
26:10that's all
26:12that's the only sign we can know
26:14What does it mean?
26:16It means we can only know
26:18the night is peaceful after it passed
26:20not after it passed
26:22like tonight

27:12Salat Imfaq, let's repeat
27:14page 225 and 226
27:16from Surah Hud
27:18about how for us,
27:20Istiqamah and of course it is related to
27:22Istiqfar, our continuous worship
27:24until the end
27:26of our lives
27:28in the 36th verse, there is a statement
27:30from Allah
27:32and revealed to Noah
27:34Know that you will not believe among your people
27:36except those who
27:38truly believe, therefore do not
27:40be saddened by what they
27:42do. This is a statement from Allah
27:44when Prophet Noah continues to give
27:46advice, but
27:48it does not increase
27:50in Surah Nuh,
27:52the people who were
27:54given that advice are running away
27:56so, what is the meaning of
27:58Falatabtais bimakanu yafa'alun
28:00please
28:02In the name of Allah, Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon
28:04His Beloved, the Messenger of Allah.
28:06Dear viewers,
28:08before I touch
28:10that verse, there is one thing
28:12that we need to study together.
28:14Surah Hud is started by Allah
28:16with the story of the Quran
28:18then Allah tells about Istiqfar
28:20then Allah tells about
28:22the nature of life,
28:24there are trials, there are difficulties,
28:26there are this and that, after that
28:28Allah Almighty mentioned to the Prophet, for example,
28:30verse 12, Surah Hud
28:32Allah Almighty said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
28:34Allah Almighty said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
28:36
28:38Allah Almighty said to the Prophet,
28:40peace and blessings be upon him,
28:42
28:44
28:46
28:48what else
28:50.
28:52what else
28:54
28:56
28:58
29:00But
29:02Allah said, if they don't believe, it's okay.
29:07This surah, after this story, Allah told Prophet Musa,
29:12Allah told Prophet Noah, Allah told Prophet Hud,
29:16to be a witness to our Prophet Muhammad SAW,
29:20who became a witness in every era, there will be those who believe,
29:24there will be those who deny.
29:25Therefore, dear audience, we are all preachers,
29:28those who are listening, those who are watching,
29:30Mr. Fazrul, me, Satir, everyone is a preacher.
29:35But sometimes, in the preaching that we do,
29:38there will be those who deny, there will be those who mock,
29:41there will be those who debate,
29:43there will be those who don't want to follow.
29:45Allah Ta'ala, the first one to proclaim our Prophet Muhammad SAW,
29:49with the authenticity of the Prophet,
29:51with the intention of a sincere Prophet,
29:53there will still be those who don't want to follow.
29:56Therefore, I urge every preacher and preacher,
29:59to not complain if people don't want to follow.
30:04If people don't want to follow.
30:05Sometimes, we make people jealous.
30:08Don't complain, don't break your heart, don't do that.
30:13Why?
30:14Dear Prophet Muhammad SAW,
30:16there are people who are more terrifying than you.
30:18They preach for thousands of years,
30:20but they don't increase their faith.
30:22More terrifying, right?
30:23You can build a country in Madinah Al-Munawarah.
30:26Allah Ta'ala gives the stories of the Prophets,
30:32so that we can strengthen our souls, dear Prophet Muhammad SAW.
30:35Everyone, that was an example.
30:37So, when Allah tells the stories of the Prophets,
30:39He gives us an inspiration that,
30:41what is it?
30:42In the preaching of the Prophet,
30:44Allah Ta'ala says, dear Prophet Muhammad SAW,
30:46don't complain, don't give up,
30:48don't complain, don't back down,
30:51if people don't want to follow.
30:52Okay, the context of the verse,
30:54the context of the perspective.
30:55Now, the verse.
30:56If we look at it,
30:58if we look at it,
30:59the word is used,
31:08What does it mean?
31:09With what they will do.
31:12It means,
31:13the Prophet Muhammad SAW,
31:14in the beginning,
31:15Allah Ta'ala said, dear Prophet Muhammad SAW,
31:17don't give up,
31:18don't give up,
31:19don't give up what they do.
31:21What did the Prophet Muhammad SAW do?
31:23The Prophet Muhammad SAW also built a ship.
31:28When he was building the ship,
31:30he came to insult,
31:31to humiliate the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
31:33But Allah has mentioned it from the beginning.
31:38Don't give up,
31:39don't give up,
31:40don't give up,
31:41do it.
31:42For decades,
31:43people have done things,
31:44in the middle of the desert,
31:45they built a ship.
31:46In the middle of the desert,
31:47they built a ship.
31:48Like we make clothes,
31:49in Malaysia,
31:50there is no rain.
31:51Right?
31:52What did he do to build a ship,
31:53in a situation like this?
31:55Ladies and gentlemen,
31:57and it's not just a ship,
31:58Allah said,
32:01when you see your own child,
32:03not believing.
32:05Talk about this child,
32:06Dr. Ayman Yusuf.
32:08You talked about the preachers, right?
32:09The preachers,
32:10they talk outside,
32:11and so on.
32:14It's okay.
32:15Because we don't meet,
32:16every day.
32:17We meet,
32:18but not often.
32:19We meet the child,
32:20in the house.
32:21So, if we say,
32:24it's also related to,
32:25Prophet Noah,
32:26meeting his child,
32:27at the end, right?
32:28Yes, at the end.
32:29The mother,
32:30the father,
32:31who was present,
32:32in the studio,
32:33or who was at home,
32:34when they saw,
32:35I am a preacher,
32:36in the house,
32:37right?
32:38The mother preached,
32:39bathed,
32:40ate,
32:41prayed.
32:42How was it?
32:43Can it be like,
32:44what is it,
32:45like a piece of stone,
32:46a brick,
32:47right?
32:48A piece of brick,
32:49because the child,
32:50what is it,
32:51a piece of brick,
32:52how was it?
32:53Sometimes,
32:54it's not the child,
32:55it's the husband.
32:56Right?
32:57Surprised,
32:58go and pray,
32:59brother.
33:00I pray at home,
33:01I also pray.
33:02That's the result,
33:03right?
33:04Yes.
33:05Ladies and gentlemen,
33:06correct.
33:07The Quran,
33:08Subhanallah,
33:09the verse is that,
33:10but the teaching,
33:11is to all.
33:12Okay?
33:13To all.
33:14It is said,
33:15Al-ibratu bi-umum min lafzila bi-khusus sabab.
33:16Ladies and gentlemen,
33:17do not give up.
33:18Do not give up.
33:19Do not be weak.
33:20Ladies and gentlemen,
33:21if you compare us as a mother,
33:22or a wife,
33:23or maybe a sister to our siblings,
33:25or a brother to our siblings,
33:27there are things that he does,
33:29we scold him,
33:30don't do it again.
33:31Pray,
33:32respect your parents.
33:34But sometimes,
33:35we get rejection.
33:36All of you,
33:37first,
33:38do not give up.
33:40Second,
33:41surrender to Allah.
33:43Third,
33:44use the best way,
33:45like the Prophet,
33:46use the best way,
33:47like the Prophet,
33:48backbone,
33:49that,
33:50this,
33:51da'a,
33:52this is Da'a for the people,
33:53Laylan,
33:54wa Nahara.
33:55The Prophet challenged his common people,
33:56Laylan,
33:57wa Nahara.
33:58The Prophet challenged the people,
33:59Laylan,
34:00wa Nahara.
34:01Whether it's da'a or day,
34:02it's only in the afternoon.
34:03At night,
34:04it's only Maghrib.
34:05After Isha,
34:06nothing else.
34:07The Prophet,
34:08Laylan,
34:09wa Nahara.
34:10Day and night.
34:11Day and night,
34:12never stops.
34:13It's only Da'a.
34:14That,
34:15Mu'a'i illa fi roro, tak bertambah, bahkan makin ramai lari.
34:18Itu tu, Allah kata, fala tabetais.
34:21Jadi, tuan-tuan, kalau kita tegur anak kita begini, sabar.
34:26Kenapa? Kerana kemungkinan teguran kita yang ikhlas kerana Allah
34:30tidak masuk ke dalam relung hatinya ketika itu,
34:34tetapi mungkin memberikan kesan lima tahun selepas itu.
34:38Mungkin memberikan bekas dua tahun selepas itu.
34:41Tuan-tuan, ini nak bocong aib sendirilah saya.
34:43Semalam saya minum dengan mak saya di warung.
34:46Jadi, mak saya cakap,
34:48ini dulu, buah, tapi mak asyik kata saja,
34:56bertuah punya anak.
34:59Jadi, alhamdulillah, selepas 10 tahun,
35:03alhamdulillah jadi anak yang bertuah mudah-mudahan,
35:06walaupun tak sempurna.
35:07Maksudnya, ibu semua, ketika kadang kita menegur isteri
35:51kaumnya mengejik dia.
35:54Kita ini ada perasaan.
35:55Ini kata semua orang.
35:57Saya ini ada perasaan.
35:59Jadi, macam mana?
36:00Kalau orang ejik, bolehkah saya ejik?
36:02Sebab saya rasa macam baca ayat 38 ini,
36:04macam Nabi Nuh pun boleh juga.
36:09Macam boleh balas ejik.
36:10Kita nak memahami.
36:11Boleh tak ejik dibalas dengan ejik
36:14dengan membaca ayat 38 bersama Al-Fatihah.
36:34Al-Fatihah.
37:05Astagfirullahalazim.
37:07Kita baca ayat yang ke-38.
37:09Menjawab atau untuk kita memahami persoalan,
37:11bolehkah kita membalas ejikan
37:13ataupun dalam pasangan suami isteri saatnya.
37:16Bila si suami buat hal dengan si istrinya,
37:18istrinya pun kata,
37:20alang-alang abang buat juga pada saya,
37:22saya juga nak buat pada abang.
37:24Boleh atau tidak?
37:25Kita akan sama-sama perhatikan.
37:26Kita berehat dahulu.

45:49Ayat 3.
45:58And repent to Allah, and repent to Him.
46:02Allah Ta'ala says.
46:03We will turn Your goodness into good.
46:06Istirfar.
46:07Allah gave us many blessings.
46:10We think that we are only doing sins.
46:12No.
46:13Whoever repents in his life, Allah will add blessings to his life.
46:18In another hadith, the Prophet s.a.w. said,
46:25Whoever insists on asking for forgiveness in his life, Allah will make the sadness, depression, and stress of his soul disappear.
46:43Because the stress of life, depression, and stress can be removed by asking for forgiveness.
46:58And then, what did the Prophet s.a.w. say?
47:03In every constraint, there is a way out.
47:06How to ask for forgiveness?
47:08We have thought about this a lot.
47:10Where do we send our children to school?
47:12Where do we do it?
47:13How do we solve this problem?
47:15Ask for forgiveness.
47:16Ask for forgiveness.
47:17Like me, we build a madrasah.
47:20Our madrasah is for free.
47:22But how do we maintain it every month?
47:25Ask for forgiveness.
47:26In the end, Allah gives us inspiration.
47:28Do this.
47:32In every constraint, there is a way out.
47:34Ask for forgiveness.
47:35Allah will not let you go.
47:36That is what the Prophet s.a.w. said.
47:37Then, what did Allah s.a.w. say?
47:38In the fourth hadith.
47:39The first one is about blessings.
47:40The second one is about the loss of sadness.
47:42The third one is about the constraint.
47:44There is a way out.
47:45The fourth one is,
47:50Allah gives him sustenance that he did not expect.
47:53The way is to ask for forgiveness.
47:56There is a story among our scholars.
47:59From Damascus, Syria.
48:00It was 600 years ago.
48:04He was a teacher to Ali Ibn Kathir s.a.w.
48:09When a question came,
48:11and he could not answer it.
48:13Even though he was a great scholar.
48:15What did he do?
48:16He asked for forgiveness a thousand times.
48:18Then, Allah gave him the answer.
48:20He reached that level.
48:22If we did not get the answer,
48:24we would just bow our heads.
48:26We would just bow our heads.
48:28Ask for forgiveness.
48:29He said,
48:30I will ask for forgiveness a thousand times.
48:32Then, Allah answered the question.
48:34Glory be to Allah.
48:35So, asking for forgiveness is extraordinary.
48:37If you want to ask for forgiveness again,
48:39open Surah Nuh.
48:40There are four to ten ways to ask for forgiveness.
48:42Asking for forgiveness.
48:51One of the ways to ask for forgiveness,
48:53if I still have time,
48:54is told by Khotib.
48:55I remember when I first set foot in Egypt,
48:58I entered a mosque.
49:00I heard a sermon.
49:01I still remember that sermon.
49:03The sermon was about asking for forgiveness.
49:05There was a couple.
49:07They got married for a long time,
49:09but they did not have a child.
49:11Khotib said to the imam,
49:13I have been married for years,
49:14but I do not have a child yet.
49:15Can I pray for him?
49:16He said,
49:17go home and ask for forgiveness.
49:19The imam went home.
49:21He came back and asked for forgiveness.
49:23He still did not have a child.
49:25He said,
49:26go home and ask for forgiveness.
49:28He went home for a while.
49:30When he came back,
49:31he said,
49:32Sheikh,
49:33I already have a child.
49:35The person who asked,
49:37Sheikh,
49:38why did I come and ask for forgiveness?
49:40He said,
49:41because we believe that Allah says in Surah An-Nur,
49:45those who ask for forgiveness from Allah,
49:47with a lot of obligation,
49:53Allah will give them wealth and children.
49:56So, ladies and gentlemen,
49:58we are also afraid
49:59that the companies will close down.
50:03But what I want to say is,
50:05this is the virtue of asking for forgiveness.
50:07Allah will give them wealth and children.
50:12In the hereafter,
50:13it is mentioned in many narrations,
50:15those who ask for forgiveness in this world,
50:18their books of deeds will be clean.
50:21Because Allah has erased it.
50:23It has been destroyed.
50:25Only the good remains.
50:26May Allah make us all among those who ask for forgiveness.
50:30The best time to ask for forgiveness
50:32is before dawn.
50:34It is called the time of Sahur.
50:36Allah praises two verses in the Quran,
50:38in the front and in the back.
50:40In Surah Al-Imran,
50:41in the back,
50:42in Surah 29-30,
50:44Allah says,
50:48At dawn,
50:49they ask for forgiveness.
50:51In Surah Al-Imran,
50:55And those who ask for forgiveness at dawn.
50:57So, this is the best time to ask for forgiveness.
51:00But everyone has to ask for forgiveness.
51:02Thank you, Dr. Shafiq,
51:03for explaining the importance of asking for forgiveness
51:06as an important theme
51:08for us to be steadfast on this path of truth.
51:11And that is also the prayer that was recited
51:13when Prophet Noah
51:15boarded the ship,
51:20We pray to Allah SWT
51:21so that Allah makes us all among those who ask for forgiveness
51:24and can wake up at dawn,
51:27before dawn,
51:28at the time of Sahur,
51:30to ask for forgiveness.
51:32If Allah wills,
51:33there are many advantages for us to gain
51:35from Allah,
51:36who grants us forgiveness.
51:38We pray at the end,
51:39together with Dr. Shafiq.
51:42Please, Ustaz.
