00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday, January the 13th,
00:03just bringing you some of our headlines today. Here's one that I sent out yesterday that's
00:08doing really well for us. A Doncaster police officer has been praised after he saved a man's
00:12life on Christmas Day. There were some concerns for the man's safety and the police officer stepped
00:18in and managed to convince the man that he could look after him and looks like he actually saved
00:26his life in doing so. So well done to that police officer above and beyond. Then one that's
00:32continuing to doing well for us. Last week I reported on a road traffic collision in Armthorpe.
00:38The police sent out details of that back in the last week. A man unfortunately suffered fatal
00:43injuries following the collision and another pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious
00:49injuries. We understand she's still stable but we'll let you know if that changes and hopefully
00:53she'll fully recover from that incident. And then finally we've got another unpleasant one
01:01from Friday. We've just received information and we've tried to get this over the weekend.
01:05There was an incident in the Hyde Park area of Doncaster. It appears that a man was assaulted
01:13by a group of unknown men and he was then struck by a vehicle. You can read all about that up on
01:19the website this morning which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and of course we'll keep
01:25you updated on Facebook and X and I hope you have a great Monday and a great week.
