00:00I remember how much contribution she has made in making Direct Selling higher.
00:07On 8th March, in Delhi, Women Entrepreneurs, who are related to Direct Selling, had a big event.
00:16More than 25,000 Women Entrepreneurs, who work in Direct Selling, came to Delhi from all over the country.
00:24Key players were Sanjeev Bhai, Nayan Bhai, Gautam ji, Sunil Bas ji, AP Reddy, Rajiv ji, Kishore ji.
00:41All of them came together and organized a big event.
00:48Due to this event, the perception of women in the country has increased.
00:52Before we start today's conference, I am sitting on both sides post-election.
01:03Before the election, I used to sit in front of you and fight for the rights.
01:10Now, I fight for the rights.
01:12That is my attitude and I will not leave it.
01:14But, when you are in the government, you have to follow some rules.
01:18So, I have to follow those rules as a Member of Parliament from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha Constituency,
01:27which is the most vibrant constituency in the country.
01:31Now, the biggest question on Direct Selling.
01:35We all should understand that there is immense potential in Direct Selling.
01:40Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Women Empowerment, Digital India, Stand-up India, Start-up India,
01:54and all the visions related to this.
01:57I feel that, legitimately, the Direct Selling industry fulfills all those visions.
02:04There are only a few sectors in the country that carry Prime Minister's visions.
02:13And, when we talk about Women Empowerment,
02:18when we talk about Self-Entrepreneurship,
02:20which the Honourable Prime Minister repeatedly says to us,
02:25and also to the public,
02:27that when India will progress more,
02:29then there will be a boom in Self-Entrepreneurship.
02:33We should not become a Job Seeker, but become a Job Giver.
02:37This is a golden statement of the Prime Minister.
02:40We all know about this.
02:43So, as such, I believe that the Direct Selling industry plays the role of a catalyst.
02:50But, yes, the perception about Direct Selling,
02:55it is very important to correct that perception.
02:59Often, the competition or comparison of Direct Selling is done through MNM.
03:08I feel that today, the fundamental difference should be that
03:12what is the actual format of Direct Selling?
03:15And, what is the format of MNM?
03:17What is the format of Pondi Scheme?
03:19And, I feel that these are the things,
03:23if we all together,
03:27the stakeholders,
03:30and all the agencies of the government,
03:33whether it is FSSI,
03:35or DPIIT,
03:37or for that matter,
03:39or for that matter, if there is any other government agency,
03:42then somewhere, we all have to sit together and bring this with clarity.
03:48One thing I would like to tell you,
03:51and I have been saying this for the last 10-15 years,
03:56that the business of Ramlal and Shyamlal is not going to continue.
04:00We do not want to go into any trade.
04:03So, we have to go into that trade in a structured manner,
04:06and we have to go into that trade in a legal manner.
04:10If we understand this,
04:14then I feel that the perceptions about the direct selling industry,
04:19we have two policy makers sitting with us,
04:22Anupam Mishra ji, and Enoshi ji,
04:25somewhere, we will need their help.
04:28Help because,
04:31first of all, we have to decide whether this is a legalized business or not.
04:36If it is not legalized, then the business should be shut down.
04:40And if it is legalized,
04:43then to further legalize it,
04:46to run it in a structured manner,
04:49what policies should we create,
04:52we have to think about it in today's meeting.
04:56The Indian government,
04:59Mr. Chaudhary.
