00:00The election period for the 2025 midterm polls will begin on January 12th.
00:05The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, the Philippine National Police, or PNP, and other law enforcement agencies
00:11will also start monitoring the situation, especially concerning peace and security in various areas of the country.
00:18One of the steps taken to ensure this goal is achieved is the enforcement of the gun ban for the whole duration of the election period.
00:26The poll body, however, assured it will issue certifications for those who will be exempted from the gun ban,
00:32like law enforcement agencies, members of the magistrate, as well as lawmakers.
00:38Judges, prosecutors, department heads, undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, justices of the Supreme Court,
00:48our legislators, congressmen, and senators, they are all automatically exempted.
