00:00Countdown begins. Three, two, one.
00:30Malaysia is a major destination for tourism.
00:38This is the beginning of an initiative
00:45to record the growth of tourism in the country by 2026.
01:00The theme of the song is inclusive.
01:11It covers all regions, all countries, in Semenanjung, Sabah and Sarawak
01:18that have their own strengths.
01:21Even for this year, we are promoting ASEAN.
01:25We ensure that our programs prepare all countries
01:35without exception to become a tourist destination this year,
01:40especially next year.
01:42I have asked all ministries to provide support
01:47so that Malaysia can increase its efforts in tourism,
01:57investment and economy,
01:59so that no country is left behind.
02:05So it is with great pride and excitement
02:10that I officially launch the Visit Malaysia 2026 logo.
02:17It is a symbol of our renewed commitment
02:20to becoming a premier global tourism destination.
02:27We aim to welcome 35.6 million tourists by 2026.
02:35An ambitious but very pragmatic and realistic plan.
02:40Because if we do achieve this,
02:41we will be able to generate an expected revenue of 1.47 billion ringgit.
02:49And certainly the benefit, the ramifications to the various sectors,
02:55not only tourism, F&B and related industries,
03:02will certainly benefit immensely from this success.
03:11Visit Malaysia 2026
03:22The Visit Malaysia 2026 logo is more than just a ring.
03:27It reflects our nation's beauty in every warm smile, heartfelt welcome
03:33and stories shared by Malaysian citizens.
03:37It for us is a tourism ambassador,
03:41a living postcard-sharing casing,
03:44a unique charm of Malaysia to the world.
03:48From a hawker recommending nasi lemak
03:51to a storyteller sharing our heritage
03:56or a heartfelt selamat datang,
03:59every creature tells the story of Malaysia
04:01and more than a destination,
04:03it is a home of warm hospitality and unity.
04:08Our campaign is built on two key pillars,
04:11one, high-yield and sustainable tourism.
04:14This reflects our commitment to offering meaningful experiences
04:20while protecting Malaysia's unique treasures.
04:24To achieve this, we have identified three main strategies.
04:28One, increasing tourism arrival by converting short stay into extended stay,
04:35extending length of stay by enriching culture and eco-tourism experience,
04:42empowering local community and improving infrastructure.
04:48And three, encouraging high spending by promoting niche tourism experience.
04:54The VisitMalaysia 2026 campaign is about people,
04:59the visitors who come to Malaysia and the Malaysians who warmly welcome them.
05:06Our tourism reflects our identity as a nation of diversity, unity and hospitality.
05:13We aim to offer more than just light and sound but profound connection.
05:18Visitors can experience the harmony of our culture,
05:24the warmth of our people and a nation that balances progress with preservation.
05:31Tourism is about the human connection,
05:35while a local sound, traditional dance and wooden batik
05:40or even a simple work can create lasting bonds.
05:46Malaysia is not just safe but welcoming.
05:50With the hospitality and eco from lively city to peaceful beaches,
05:58rich culture to world-class facilities, we welcome you and open arms.
06:04Whether you seek adventure, relaxation or cultural exploration,
06:10Malaysia assures a secure, friendly and unforgettable experience.
06:17Your home away from home.
