The historic city of Melaka has been officially designated as the host city for the launch of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026).

Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing told reporters after attending the 2025 Melaka Tourism Industry Engagement Programme on Friday (March 21) that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had discussed and approved Melaka as the chosen venue.
