00:26Speaking at the Port Klang Police Station on Friday,
00:29DCP Mat Zani revealed that the containers originating from Iran and bound for Sydney, Australia,
00:35were declared as materials for cosmetic products and candles.
00:39However, upon inspection at a warehouse in Port Klang on January 25,
00:44the NCID team found them filled with over 33,000 kilograms of methamphetamine.
00:50The seized drugs, valued at approximately 1.06 billion ringgit,
00:55could have supplied up to 166 million drug users.
00:59DCP Mat Zani added that the NCID, AFP and other agencies are working to identify the syndicate behind the operation,
01:08as well as other international drug smuggling networks using cargo containers.
01:13He reaffirmed the NCID's commitment to combating drug-related crimes
01:18and urged the public to report any suspicious activities.
