Police have identified several people in Malaysia, who are said to be linked to a methamphetamine drug smuggling ring that was crippled in Melbourne, Australia.

Bukit Aman Narcotic Crime Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Kamarudin Md Din told reporters on Friday (Oct 27) that the identity of these people could not be revealed as the investigations are still ongoing.

00:43 following the discovery of 622 kilograms worth of methamphetamine hidden inside a shipment
00:49 of toilet paper rolls which arrived in Melbourne via sea cargo from Malaysia on October 4.
00:55 The confiscated drugs are worth about $560 million or approximately 1.7 billion ringgit.
