00:00I am indeed very delighted to be here today at the official opening of Malabar Fair September 2024.
00:11It is wonderful, wonderful to see the tourism industry coming together with such energy and enthusiasm,
00:21highlighting the best what Malaysia has to offer.
00:30Malabar Fair has always been a significant platform for us to promote tourism, and this year is no exception.
00:41We are excited to present the diverse offerings of Sabah, from our breathtaking inland scapes and thrilling adventures,
00:51to our rich cultural heritage and unique wildlife encounters.
00:59I am happy about the opportunities that lie ahead for Sabah and Sarawak.
01:05Like us, we will all work harder to promote our beautiful region, our vibrant culture and our welcoming spirit to the world.
01:20Together we can make Borneo a must-visit destination for travellers from near and far.
01:28We at Sarawak Tourism are especially excited to return, building on the momentum from our previous participation.
01:39I would like to also take this opportunity to recognise, to express our thanks to MATA for their continued effort in organising this fair,
01:51which has become a vital platform for all of us to showcase our unique offering, especially Sabah and Sarawak's offering.
02:02Events like these are crucial in supporting our vision to position Sarawak as a premium travel destination with Malaysia and beyond.
02:16Today I stand before you with immense pride and excitement as we reunite with our esteemed partners from the Sabah Tourism Board
02:28to present Borneo as Malaysia's favourite destination.

02:42When you mention Borneo, they know where it is.
02:46If you mention Sarawak, they say, where is this place?
02:49Borneo, everybody knows, the third largest island in the world.
02:53We welcome all of you to Borneo, Malaysia's favourite destination.
03:01Thank you. We're going to count together.
