00:00Instead, I decided Rogers, uh, basically saying at 33, not that he told Ulbricht,
00:04yeah, I'm out of here. I'm tapping out. Yep.
00:07What was the conversation like with Jeff? What were your thoughts on that?
00:12Oh, I mean, it was, it was 33, nothing. We were sitting there
00:16and I said at some point, probably go to tie rod here, huh? And then the next place
00:22it's free protection. So it's 40 or nothing.
00:27I guess you might want to go to tie rod here at some point, get them out of here.
00:31Then you had a, I know I don't really subscribe to QBR Joe, but I saw you have 1.2 QBR yesterday
00:40was like, uh, one of the worst of all time since they started that stat. What a tough scene. And
00:46you got to tell me what you think of Rex and Ron Rivera, Joe, go ahead. Let me know.
00:52Well, I don't get the, the Ron Rivera. I didn't even know Ron Rivera was actually
00:56up for the job, but we all know Rex has been, uh, lobbying, uh, for the job,
01:02which I find fascinating, but you know, I don't much like what we talked about with Raheem Mars
01:09earlier in Atlanta, the second go around guys that failed their first time, have an opportunity
01:15maybe to come back and have, they learned, uh, their lessons. Um, the, the bottle like Rex hate,
01:22like Rex is perfect for New York. Rex is willing to put up with Woody Johnson when nobody else of
01:28any quality wants the job, including a guy like Belichick who'd rather go back to college
01:33than even remotely consider, uh, working for the Jets organization. You know, there's something,
01:40it's just crazy enough where if Rex has actually learned from his mistakes and he surrounds
01:48himself with the right offensive minded guys, and I'm not talking about hiring, uh, Mark Sanchez
01:54as your offensive coordinator. I mean, if you can surround himself with some quality offensive
02:00minded people, uh, it's not the crazy. It may seem crazy, but it's not the craziest because it's
02:08still New York. Nobody will handle the media and take the pressure off the players like Rex Ryan
02:14will in that market. And again, if he's learned anything, oh, the Jets might be better off for it.
02:21He might be better off for it. It certainly sounded from a lot of the interviews like Rex,
02:26you know, I mean, listen, get away from the game. You learn your lessons. Sometimes you can't see
02:32the forest from the trees. I mean, who else better to take the focus off of everybody else
02:38and put it squarely on him in New York than Rex Ryan. He knows how to work with Woody too, right?
02:45I know that nobody probably wants to work with Woody anymore after that story a couple of weeks
02:50ago. So I, you know, I would love personally, I would love to have Rex back as the Jet head coach.
02:58I think it would be great from an entertainment standpoint. Uh, I think it would be even better,
03:03but you're right. The defense would be better from a serious standpoint.
03:09There's worse ideas. Uh, yes. Ron Rivera being one of them. Uh, and I saw Luke did find me the
03:17story from Brian Costello, the New York post. He did say he thought that Matt Nagy would be the
03:20next head coach of the Jets. So I don't, I don't know how Matt Nagy could get another bite at the
03:25apple already, but, uh, I, I guess that's, I'm not in for that either. Uh, if I was a Jet fan,
03:31it'd be a fun, another fun off season, uh, for Jet nation, uh, after this year,
03:37but man, it can't, it can't end fast enough.
