00:00The Office of Civil Defense has decided to make it simple, clear, and easy to understand the message of the tsunami in front of Bantan,
00:08in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
00:11According to the OCD, when a tsunami warning comes out,
00:14it should run and hide in a high place and not in evacuation centers.
00:19The time frame is set to 10 to 20 minutes before the tsunami reaches the communities.
00:25After a strong earthquake, the OCD will call on local governments from three regions
00:31to study their contingency measures in the event of a tsunami.
00:37As part of the OCD's plan,
00:39the geotagging or targeting of high places can be placed in evacuation centers.
00:45They will also be chosen by the communities for simulation drills
00:48and to test if the contingency measures are effective.
00:52FIVOC is aware of the possible tsunami due to the series of earthquakes in the Ilocos Sur Sea.
