00:27Sinabi yan ng Pangulo sa kanyang pangunguna sa paggunitan ng 83 taong aniversaryo

00:32ng Araw ng Kagitingan ngayong taon.

00:35Punto niya, ang aral na ito ang dapat dalhin hanggang sa kasalukuyang panahon.

00:39We celebrate the lessons that have been learned

00:43through this very terrible hardship and very terrible experience.

00:50The lessons that we learn are

00:53that the solution to war is not more war

00:57and that the solution to war is only peace.

01:02An honorable peace that is arrived at

01:05by the different parties involved

01:09and having a hand and a voice

01:14in achieving that peace.

01:16Pero sa pag-abot ng kapayapaan,

01:18binigyang diin ng Pangulo

01:19ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa,

01:21lalo na't may iba-ibaan niyang pananawang mga bansa.

01:24Peace cannot be attained by one person,

01:27by one country alone.

01:30At we have to bring together

01:34all the parties that are involved.

01:37These are the lessons that we hope to have learned.

01:40Bagay na sinigundahan naman ang Japan at Estados Unidos.

01:43Ayon kay Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya,

01:46sa kabila ng masalimuot na nakaraan,

01:48mas tumatag pa ang ugnayan ng Japan at Pilipinas

01:51sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan.

01:53The bond between Japan and the Philippines

01:55has reached an unprecedented level of friendship and cooperation

02:00under the leadership of President Marcos.

02:04This is clearly demonstrated in our shared efforts

02:07to enhance security and law enforcement capabilities.

02:10These include the transfer of air surveillance radar systems

02:15to the Philippine Air Force

02:17and the provision of multi-role response vessels

02:20to the Philippine Coast Guard.

02:23Notably, the Philippines is the only country

02:26that received Japan's official security assistance

02:30for two consecutive years.

02:32Habang ang US,

02:33binigyang diin ang mas matibay na bilateral relations nito sa bansa.

02:37Following the war, our nations worked to rebuild together.

02:42The shared experience of the United States and the Philippines

02:45during and after the war

02:47forged unbreakable bonds between our two peoples.

02:52These bonds are now the foundations

02:54of the ironclad US-Philippine alliance.

02:58Hindi naman nakaligtaan ng Pangulo

03:00na kilalani ng ambag ng mga veterano

03:02na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay at kaligtasan

03:04para sa tinatamasang kapayapaan at kalayaan

03:07ng kasalukuyang panahon.

03:09Pero hindi anya ito dapat mabaon sa limot

03:11kaya marapat lamang na taon-taon

03:13na alalahanin ang mga sakripisyo

03:14at hirap ng mga veterano.

03:16We celebrate today the heroism

03:19of all those who fought here in Bataan.

03:24And we celebrate the peace

03:26that was hard earned

03:28by the blood and the sacrifice

03:31of all our servicemen.

03:33Wala nang hihigit pa sa sakripisyong ipinamalas

03:36ng mga bayaning ginugunitan natin ngayon.

03:40Inialay nila ang sariling buhay

03:42para sa kapayapaan at kalayaan ng bayan.

03:46Ito'y pinapasalamatan namin namin

03:48bilang isang post-beteran

03:50ito'y narirecognize yung aming mga

03:55nagawa nung kami pa yan na sa servisyo pa.

03:59Bukod sa mga veterano,

04:01kinilala rin ng Pangulo

04:02ang mga sibilyan na magigiting

04:03na humaharap sa hamon araw-araw.

04:06Ipinagdiriwang ang araw ng kagitingan

04:07tuwing ikasyam ng Abril

04:09kasabay ng anibersaryo

04:10ng pagbagsak ng bataan

04:11noong panahon ng Philippine Defense Campaign

04:13mula 1941 hanggang 1942

04:16kung saan buong tapang

04:17na lumaban ang mga pwersang Pilipino

04:19at Amerikano

04:20laban sa mga pwersa

04:21ng Japanese Imperial Army.
