00:00And at this point, we will discuss an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.
00:25First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. gave a directive to the Department of Agriculture or DA to ensure that all supports to farmers will be distributed during the planting season.
00:40Our President said in a statement, along with the economic managers, there should be no delay in the implementation of agri-support for our farmers.
00:53The President also instructed the Department of Budget and Management or DBM to give priority to the sector of agriculture for timely budgetary support.
01:06Meanwhile, the DA stated that with sufficient help from fertilizers, quality seeds, and technologies, farmers can increase their production.
01:18As long as they have sufficient support, there will be no delay in the seed and fertilizer distribution so that the planting can be done on time and the harvest potential can be optimized.
01:29Meanwhile, if we remember last year, 2024, it really became a big challenge for the sector of agriculture.
01:37If we remember, the strong storms followed one after another. We also had the flood and the prevalence of animal diseases such as the world flu.
01:48The damage was worth a billion pesos due to weather disturbances and the ASF still has an impact such as the lower income and output.
01:58That is why it is very important for the government to provide sufficient support for the productive sector of agriculture for 2025.
02:07And that is our update on the programs of the current administration. Until next time, Mr. President, on the go.
