00:28it's a tradition for his family to light firecrackers

00:31every time the New Year comes.

00:33It's to celebrate the Filipino Christmas.

00:37We're still here because we're from the country.

00:40When we were kids, we used to sell firecrackers.

00:43Now, we're also selling firecrackers.

00:47For Jasmine, who's selling firecrackers,

00:50her stores are still busy.

00:52But she expects to sell more firecrackers in the next few days.

00:56According to her,

00:57their staff is also taking good care of their customers.

01:01We're attentive to our customers.

01:04If they have cigarettes,

01:08we should take good care of them.

01:11In their store,

01:12the price of a fountain varies from P150 to P1,000

02:02The Department of Health

02:03is reminding the public

02:04that the new year is coming.

02:06Report those who use and sell illegal firecrackers

02:10like Boga, Five Star, and Piccolo.

02:12Do not use firecrackers.

02:13Do not collect or sell firecrackers

02:15that are scattered on the street.

02:17Distribute to children

02:18products that contain poison and powder

02:20such as small firecrackers.

02:21Because they can experience it.

02:23Use alternative sounds

02:25such as Torotot, Kaltero, or Karaoke

02:28with your family and friends.

02:30Watch out for children and other youth

02:32who avoid using firecrackers.

02:34Watch the Community Fireworks Display

02:36from your LGU.

02:38Be prepared and make sure you have a first aid kit

02:40in case you get hurt because of the firecrackers.

02:43And call 911 or 1555 if there is an emergency.

02:47According to the last report of the agency today,

02:49there are now 43 firecracker-related injuries

02:53of which 18 are new cases reported.
