We've gotten two conflicting sets of comments from Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones in the last few days, with him first saying the team wouldn't rule out trading star pass rusher Micah Parsons. He then came on 105.3 The Fan yesterday and said he couldn't envision a scenario where Parsons doesn't have a scenario on his helmet. Fred & Blake discuss the whole situation, and also play audio from Micah Parsons himself commenting on everything on his own podcast.

00:00Micah Parsons, and you and I talked about this a little bit earlier in the show or earlier
00:19before show with Gavin and some of the G bag guys.
00:24It was said yesterday, Ian Rappaport does his insider reporting, you know, the Cowboys
00:28aren't ruling out trading him.
00:30That's based off of what he's saying.
00:32Whereas in Steven Jones says, I don't see a scenario where Micah doesn't have a star
00:37on the side of his helmet.
00:38All right.
00:39Now again, what's he going to say?
00:40It's not like Steve's the most, you know, whatever transparent exactly.
00:45Other than saying, Hey, well, I'll say this.
00:47He's more transparent than Jerry in the sense of, Hey, it's going to be tight again this
00:50off season.
00:51He'll, he'll, he'll be transparent as far as roster building, but he'll never really
00:54call a player out and be like, yeah, Parkinson's ain't going to be with us.
00:57No, he won't.
00:58Right.
00:59I mean, he, he's going to be very guarded about how he says things.
01:00And so, you know, I, we get that.
01:02So this, that rumor obviously was the hot rumor yesterday because I mean, look, you
01:06can only get so excited about the Cowboys beating the Panthers.
01:08I think the speculation stems from Steven kind of talking about in that article that
01:13Ian put together of, you can only pay so many stars when it comes to roster building.
01:20Steven's like, you can only pay so many guys, paying three guys, top of the market.
01:23He kind of was saying it without saying, in my opinion, a little bit of buyer's remorse.
01:28Like I can't, can't be paying back Micah, Trayvon, all this.
01:32Like something's got to go.
01:33They got some serious buyers.
01:34And I don't think it's from CD lamp.
01:35I think we can all agree.
01:37Everyone is happy about CD.
01:38Want him to get paid.
01:39He's obviously working out top three and all of the receiving categories.
01:43And he's been banged up this year and he's been banged up and still playing through it.
01:46I, Terrence still digs.
01:48You can kind of speculate their higher dollar been injured.
01:51Hey, look, Terry steals bit since you moved Zach Martin out of the lineup.
01:57And since you put, he's your highest paid lineman right now.
02:01That's what I'm saying.
02:02I don't think he's not been playing.
02:03I think he's been playing better, but as far as what you have in contracts, look, I don't
02:07think you're tripping on Terrence steel considering that you've made a concerted effort to run
02:12the ball.
02:13You, you, you got rid of Zach.
02:14It was, you know, you didn't get rid of Zach Martin, but Zach Martin gets put on the IR.
02:18His season's over.
02:19Suddenly you move that right guard spot.
02:21Now all of a sudden that your running game looks totally different.
02:24Your quarterback's got time to throw the football.
02:26Now, again, you've played, you know, not great defenses, so that certainly hasn't hurt either,
02:30but Terrence steel for as much of a factor of, of, you know, question mark as he was
02:37the beginning of the year, he has looked much better in the last four or five games as this
02:41offensive line has looked a lot better.
02:43These last four or five games.
