00:00All parties within the Sabah government must prioritise and safeguard political stability during this challenging period.
00:10This is what Gabungan Rakyat Sabah Information Chief Joniston Bangkuwai told Sabah DAP,
00:16which is currently reviewing its position in the state government in light of an alleged mining scandal.
00:22Joniston said he respected DAP's right to hold internal deliberations and make the appropriate decisions.
00:29However, he said it is important for all parties within the state government to focus on implementing the initiatives outlined in the 2025 state budget,
00:38even as investigations into the allegations remain ongoing.
00:43On Wednesday, DAP gave its Sabah chapter the mandate to review its position in the Sabah government,
00:50after a series of leaked videos appeared to have implicated several assemblymen.
00:55In response, Chief Minister Haji Jinnur's political secretary, Abdul Rahman Yaqub, urged Sabah DAP not to leave the state government.
01:05He said such drastic actions would be inconsistent with legal principles as no wrongdoing has been identified yet.
