A high-ranking committee member of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is among those assisting the probe into alleged corruption, says Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

Speaking to reporters after officiating the closing of the national-level International Anti-Corruption Day celebration on Monday (Dec 9), Azam confirmed that the BAM official is one of six individuals summoned to aid in the investigation.

He clarified that the probe focuses solely on the actions of the individual and does not implicate BAM as an entity or organisation.
