00:00Good morning, this is the latest weather update this Monday, December 9, 2024.
00:07At present, we are not being monitored by LPA or typhoons inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility,
00:15although we can still expect that a large part of our country will experience rainy season,
00:21along with the weather systems that are affecting our region.
00:25So, let's look at the weather systems that are affecting our country one by one.
00:30First is the Northeast Monsoon or Hanging Amihan, which is affecting the northern Luzon area.
00:37It will be accompanied by cloudy skies, along with rains in Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region.
00:47In our latest satellite image, we can see the line of clouds affecting the southern Luzon area.
00:54It will be accompanied by cold and hot winds.
00:58That is the shear line.
01:00We can see that it will bring heavy clouds to a large part of the southern Luzon area.
01:07So, we can expect heavy rains to a large part of the southern Luzon area.
01:13Meanwhile, here in Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,
01:18we can also see heavy clouds that will bring heavy rains to a large part of the southern Luzon area.
01:24That is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCC.
01:28We can expect that it will bring dark clouds to a large part of the southern Philippine area.
01:36Because of the three weather systems that are affecting our country,
01:41it will bring heavy rains to a large part of our region.
01:44In the next few days, this shear line will still bring heavy rains.
01:49Tomorrow, there will be more areas that will experience heavy rains due to the effect of the shear line.
02:00Meanwhile, tomorrow, the effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone
02:05in Visayas and Mindanao will still continue.
02:07However, the areas that will experience heavy rains will be reduced.
02:13Now, we know what the weather conditions will be like here in the southern Luzon area.
02:19We saw earlier that the Northeast Monsoon and the shear line are affecting some parts of the Luzon area.
02:26Particularly, here in Cagayan Valley and in the Cordillera Administrative Region,
02:32the sky will be cloudy and there will be light to moderate the effects of heavy rains.
02:40Meanwhile, in Quezon and in some parts of the Bicol Region or in the Bicol Region area
02:46as well as in the provinces of Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro,
02:55the weather will be cloudy today,
02:58except for the areas that will experience heavy rains due to the effect of the shear line.
03:07In the large part of Luzon, particularly in the Ilocos Region,
03:12in the large part of Central Luzon, here in Metro Manila,
03:14in Cavite, as well as in Occidental Mindoro,
03:18although it will be partly cloudy,
03:21the chances of sudden or quick rains will be high,
03:27due to isolated thunderstorms, especially when it comes to the afternoon or evening.
03:32To our fellowmen who are leaving their homes,
