00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. passed a law, the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act.
00:06This is a new law that will establish evacuation centers in different cities and municipalities in the country
00:14that are strong and capable of providing temporary but safe housing for people affected by calamity.
00:22This is also in line with the call of DepEd that schools should not be used as evacuation centers.
00:29Meanwhile, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. passed the Student Loan Payment Moratorium
00:35during the Disasters and Emergencies Act as a way to reduce the financial burden of students and their families.
00:44The benevolence of this law allows the disaster-affected students and their families
00:49to have a breathing space as they recuperate and rebuild their lives.
00:54It is our hope that this law will help lessen the financial burden off of our students' shoulders as they continue their schooling.
