00:00Trade deadline, not too, too far away to talk about some interesting headlines.
00:20I saw the other day, this one caught my eye, NBA executives poking around about Derek Lively
00:27and Daniel Gafford.
00:29The Mavs seem to be shutting down those trades.
00:32Have you heard anything about that?
00:33Maybe who some of those teams are, what the interest level is for the Mavs, or is there
00:37really nothing to it and it's just a little bit of poking around by teams?
00:41The center market, and by that I mean teams looking to add to their front courts and there
00:47being plenty of centers available, is definitely going to be something to watch before December
00:5315th is the real kind of opening of trade season unofficially, where that's where players
01:00who signed this offseason as free agents first become eligible to get moved.
01:05That's why this is all starting to pick up right now, these rumors and the chatter behind
01:09the scenes.
01:10With Dallas, though, I mean, Derek Lively is someone who I think this Mavs front office
01:15really looks at as a pillar of their franchise moving forward.
01:18I would be very surprised if they're entertaining any inbound trade interest for him.
01:26I'd be shocked if he went out the door if it wasn't for a really big-time player that
01:31was going to potentially even further cement Dallas as the contender.
01:36And Gafford is obviously someone that the team just sent a very lightly protected first
01:41round pick out to Washington to acquire this past trade deadline a year ago.
01:47So I think those two guys are probably more so here to stay.
01:51And I'll shut up now and get to your next question.
