With Kyrie Irving joining the list of the walking wounded Mavericks on Monday night, what should we even watch for the rest of this season? NBA writer Grant Afseth joined the Fan After Dark to try and figure that out, as well ask break down if any of the injured bigs will return this season and what Klay Thompson's future in Dallas looks like.

00:00Clay Thompson looks absolutely miserable and we saw that first hand last night.
00:20We've seen Twitter receipts all day today of him just kind of staring off into the distance
00:25probably questioning what the hell have I done?
00:27I didn't sign up for this.
00:29What are you hearing, if anything at all, on Clay Thompson and what are the chances
00:35that he may ask out this offseason?
00:38Well, I think for his perspective of things, I think it's early.
00:42That will definitely be a focus over the coming weeks considering the circumstances that you
00:48had mentioned.
00:49But it's a fascinating situation because actually the game before the All-Star break, unsolicited,
00:54Jason Kidd had actually praised him and Kyrie Irving as leaders and then now after the All-Star
01:00break there was a mention of we didn't close this game because we needed to get stops.
01:08The question was about Clay Thompson not getting a higher level of minutes so insinuating he's
01:13not giving us enough defensively and quite a few people have commented as well on Twitter
01:20and things of that nature just pointing out how little they've seen from Clay defensively
01:25in the last little while.
01:26So definitely a situation to watch because if all things considered, he definitely signed
01:33up to compete for a title and that was with Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving as the backcourt,
01:40not a midseason trade where it's kind of shocking and blindsiding and the team is 10th in the
01:46Western Conference.
01:47So definitely something to watch for sure.
