00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. was united in celebrating the 161st anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio's death today.

00:09The President and the Filipinos chanted the name of our hero in many different ways.

00:16This is the story of Kenneth Paciente.

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. was united in celebrating the 161st anniversary

00:28of Gat Andres Bonifacio's death today.

00:31In the President's message, the Supreme God said goodbye to the feelings of the Filipinos

00:35to fight against the atrocities of the conspirators.

00:38He also emphasized that Bonifacio's courage gave a big kiss to the country

00:42and gave strength to many to fight for their lives for the Philippines against the colonists.

00:49That is why it is only right that he remember this day as a recognition of his sacrifice

00:54even to our predecessors.

00:56The current generation owes a great debt to them

00:59for the protection of our own prosperity as well as our own.

01:04The Executive Board of the Philippines also encouraged Bonifacio

01:10to have freedom of the country from hunger, corruption, crime, and other social diseases.

01:17Meanwhile, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin was nominated as President

01:22for a program for Bonifacio's inauguration in Caloocan City.

01:25The Executive Board of the Philippines prioritized the protection of flowers in the Monument of the Bayani.

01:29In a speech prepared by the President read by the Executive Board,

01:32he emphasized that wealth and power are not for the sake of being a Bayani,

01:37but for the sake of courage, resistance, and love for the country.

01:40Bonifacio's spirit should not only be engraved on the walls or pages of history.

01:52His courage should be seen in our movements.

02:00The Executive Board also emphasized the duty of every Filipino to fight for democracy,

02:05freedom, and the rule of law of the country.

02:08And in fighting for the dignity of the country, Bonifacio's spirit lives on.

02:13He is the Supreme Leader because his revolution is not yet over.

02:22It continues in our hearts, in our intentions, and in our movements.

02:31According to the Defense Department, the story of the Bayani who fought for the country

02:35reflects the past DNDs of the current time

02:39that has a duty to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Philippines.

02:44The agency's courage in the face of the current threat to our national security

02:49will continue to inspire the courage, resilience, and love for the country of Bonifacio.
