00:25this is how President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. described his one-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

00:32In his trip, the country's readiness was laid out by the Executive Board

00:36to deepen the relationship between the Philippines and the UAE.

00:40The signed agreements proved that the two countries can benefit from each other.

00:46I look forward to the implementation of several bilateral agreements

00:50in culture, energy transition, legal cooperation, artificial intelligence, and digital economy,

00:57the improvement of government activities, visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, special, and official passports,

01:04and investment cooperation.

01:06In his visit to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

01:10the Executive Board recognized the efforts of the UAE government

01:14to take care of the 700,000 Filipinos there.

01:18The UAE President also praised the great contribution of the Filipino community to the establishment of the Gulf State.

01:24I thank Sheikh Al Nahyan for understanding that my visit had to be cut short

01:28given the need to attend to relief and reconstruction activities in communities devastated by successive typhoons.

01:36I also conveyed appreciation for the UAE's government's constant humanitarian support

01:41for victims of these natural calamities.

01:44The President also invited the UAE President to visit the country

01:48to continue the talks and discussions on the additional areas of cooperation.

01:53The Chief Executive also helped UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,

02:01where the two also discussed the strengthening of the partnership between the Philippines and the UAE,

02:06especially in the sector of tourism and investment.

02:11The first step was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation

02:17between the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts of the Philippines and the Ministry of Culture of the UAE.

02:23His Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,

02:29who is also the Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority,

02:32also helped in the reconciliation between the two countries in the sector of culture and cinema.

02:38At 10 a.m. this morning, the President and First Lady Luis Araneta Marcos arrived in the country.
