00:00The company aims at the Amazon intermodality, with the development of hundreds of routes
00:09that have allowed, in 2023, to increase rail and maritime transport in the European Union
00:15and reduce CO2 emissions by almost 50%.
00:18This is one of the key issues that the company has presented in the context of the National
00:23Assembly in Ancia, Turin, where it is present with a large stand and thematic meetings.
00:27Having efficient and innovative logistics is obviously essential.
00:32Intermodal solutions are one of the solutions that allow us to have this continuous
00:38boost to innovation and efficiency.
00:40Intermodal solutions allow us to save costs, but also to reduce emissions,
00:47which are another of our strategic goals.
00:50I would like to remember the investment in Alessandria, with the opening that took place in September.
00:55This is a supply center that becomes our entry point, privileged for all our products,
01:02which are then distributed within our logistics network.
01:06This center will focus particularly on intermodal solutions.
01:10In the vicinity, we have a railway interchange that is under development.
01:15From there, we will start all the lines, let's say, in the long run for the center in Southern Italy,
01:21which are precisely the solutions, in the end, ideal for railway intermodality.
01:25It is a cross-border territory between the three major metropolitan areas, Turin, Milan and Genoa.
01:32Alessandria, as a province, I remind you, already has several logistics sites.
01:38The territorial logistics vocation of the capital is also taking off.
01:44Surely, after the Amazon's settlement, the requests for settlement in our city have multiplied.
01:51This is certainly an opportunity for us.
