00:00Why does the Ministry of Education allow such a thing from a country that does not have a diplomatic relationship with Malaysia?

00:10And at the same time, more importantly, it is a country that binds women from studying in secondary schools and universities.

00:21MP Lim Guan Eng has questioned the Education Ministry's decision to host officials from the Afghanistan government earlier this month.

00:29Previously, Education Minister Fadlina Siddiq said her ministry received a visit from the Afghan delegation and that her ministry shared insights on education.

00:39I hope that an explanation can be given to the Malaysian people because we are very concerned.

00:45As a country that supports the rights of women, their rights, especially to study at the highest levels so that they can fulfill their potential without any discrimination.

01:02Afghanistan is the only country in the world that does not allow girls and women to attend secondary schools and universities.

01:09The ban has drawn widespread international condemnation, including from the United Nations, which described the restrictions as gender apartheid.
