00:00More than 500 blood donor pledges were accepted in the bloodletting program held in Makati City.

00:07The program was led by the Dogtong Buhay Movement.

00:10Under the leadership of the Department of Budget and Management Secretary,

00:14we were prepared as a part of advocacy for the well-being and well-being of every Filipino.

00:57The program was led by the Dogtong Buhay Founder and Department of Budget and Management Secretary, Amena Pangandaman.

01:03According to Pangandaman, the collaboration of the BBM in a private institution like iAcademy

01:09shows a successful private-public partnership for the well-being and well-being of Filipinos.

01:15I hope that what we did today will serve as an inspiration to other private sector entities and businesses

01:25to help us and partner with us in this endeavor and advocacy.

01:30We are thankful to the BBM and our partners in PRC and our major partners that iAcademy is now part of our family.

01:39Even before the pandemic, we were already doing bloodletting programs.

01:43But we're so glad that Secretary Mina has done something that enables us to know that we're giving our blood to the right agency,

01:54to the right department, and it's going to be used the right ways.

01:58The Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, and Philippine Red Cross also participated in the program.

02:04More than 600 successful blood donations were collected by the Dogtong Buhay Movement since August.

02:10Every drop of blood that we collect today is equivalent to the number of lives that we can save.

02:20The Dogtong Buhay Bloodletting Program was followed by the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

02:25to help those in need, especially in emergencies.

02:29It was also included in Republic Act No. 7719 or the National Blood Services Act of 1994

02:35that promotes voluntary blood donation for the proper and safe supply of blood.
