00:00The meeting was held at the Queen's Hall of the Chamber of Deputies,
00:07a meeting organized by the Syndagato dei Medici Anestesisti Rianimatori e dell'Emergenza Urgenza
00:12with the need to resuscitate and cure the public health of our country at the heart of it.
00:16A meeting that was an opportunity to reflect and compare the topic of Italian public health
00:21and the value of health personnel that guarantees its functioning.
00:25Today's event, entitled The Social Value of Public Employment,
00:28includes the themes on which we thought of asking for a moment of reflection and meeting
00:34between the institutions and the various representatives of the professional world of public health.
00:38This is to face together and find synergies in order to individually solve the problems
00:44that afflict our national health service, of which public employment is the backbone.
00:49An initiative that comes at a particular historical moment for the sector,
00:53which has seen in recent years a decrease in the recognition of work in the national health system,
00:58making urgent the start of a direct comparison between institutions,
01:01representatives of workers, scientific societies and associations,
01:04with the intention of identifying the reasons why public health has lost its attractiveness.
01:09As a priority, Minister Schillaci has set the problem of making the national health service more attractive
01:15for health workers.
01:17So we are investing money.
01:19In the next three years, the balance sheet provides about 12 billion euros
01:23of additional funding for the national health service.
01:26We certainly know that we need to do more, reorganize,
01:32so that the financing of the national plan of recovery and resilience
01:38with the creation finally of the structure of territorial health,
01:43which is part of a reorganization that, in our opinion,
01:47also takes place at the same time as the search for new funding
01:52and new resources that can be put on the national health service.
01:57That in the Chamber of Deputies was also an opportunity to discuss the problems
02:01that afflict the system.
02:02A useful moment to look for solutions and proposals for a more sustainable future,
02:06to improve the well-being of health personnel.
02:09We thought that the proposals to be realized are those that give value
02:17to the public-dependent relationship within the public health service,
02:22which has recently been distorted by a whole series of atypical relationships,
02:25including the use of the provider of services through private parties
02:30to the so-called cooperatives,
02:32which are actually extremely expensive in the face of a relationship
02:36with the quality and safety of care,
02:38which is not at the level of what the Italian health service is.
02:41The Scientific Society of Anesthesia, Reanimation, Intensive Therapy and Pain
02:45sees as a reference, as a lighthouse at night,
02:48the possibility of training for young colleagues
02:52and for younger colleagues to be a reference also with good clinical practices,
02:57guidelines, what we call increasing quality and guaranteeing safety.
