00:30This is because, obviously, by vaccinating us and not having respiratory infections, which are the ones that we most frequently encounter and which often lead to the use of antibiotics in an erroneous way, because they are in most cases viral infections, well, vaccination, preventing these cases, strongly reduces the inappropriate use of antibiotics.
00:57In Lazio, initiatives dedicated to awareness and information on the subject of vaccinations are growing.
01:02We have implemented three actions. The first is to study the phenomenon and therefore a task force and the creation of a computer platform that will then serve to help us in the orientation and statification of the needs of the population.
01:19The second is that we have started to open vaccination offices throughout the hospital structure and with this we are going to vaccinate our fragile, our chronic patients directly.
01:31But the third is, instead, the use through a multi-screening camper, also, let's say, that runs in 22 different locations and is bringing, next November 14 we will be in Piazza del Popolo,
01:47it is bringing not only prevention on primary screenings, mammogram, cervix and colon, but also vaccination and message, dissemination, information on vaccines coherently adopted by pediatricians, but above all on HPV to eradicate carcinoma of the uterine cervix and on Zoster,
02:11since the demographic increase of our elderly also imposes prevention of this type.
02:17At FOCUS we talked about new technological and digital solutions, new methods of analysis and management that know how to contribute to economic sustainability and efficiency of prevention and intervention.
02:28We know very well that vaccination represents the most cost-effective intervention in terms of public health. From this point of view, the National Health Fund dedicates 5% to prevention, which can generate a very important value.
02:44Estimates of literature tell us that for every euro invested in vaccination we have a return of 19 euros for everything related to avoided recoveries, but also welfare in social terms, because vaccinations are the paradigm of how the intervention in prevention is not only reverberated within the national health service, but in a much broader perspective throughout society.
03:05And we have seen during the pandemic what it means to block an entire society due to an infectious disease.
