00:00How much season does remain in fact for the Dallas Cowboys at
00:07three and six in a tailspin with their $60 million quarterback
00:12Dak Prescott, the highest paid player in the history of the
00:15NFL, more than likely on the shelf for the rest of this
00:20season. And as the Cowboys got beat bad once again, by the
00:24Philadelphia Eagles at home 34 to six on Sunday, the Cowboys
00:29now Owen for both straight up and against the number at the
00:32star this year that led to comments about the sun breaking
00:36into the stadium, Jerry Jones saying shut up about the sun,
00:40and many other comments. Not an easy day for the Dallas Cowboys
00:45on Monday to address all of that, and being blown out by
00:49nearly 30 points at home. Micah Parsons on his podcast tried to
00:53clarify his original comments about Mike McCarthy. Here are
00:57the original comments just so we know, quote, this is what
01:00Micah said. Again, quote, that's above my pay grade, whether Mike
01:04is coaching again, next year, coaching, Mike can leave and go
01:08wherever he wants. Guys I kind of feel bad for our Zack Martin
01:12and guys who might be on their last year or on their way out.
01:17So again, not the best comments to air out that laundry in
01:21public. And then Micah Parsons tried to clarify those comments
01:25Joe on his own podcast, quote, I never once threw or even
01:29intended to throw Mike McCarthy under the bus. Whether your
01:34intention was that or not, you did McCarthy met with the media
01:38on Monday and shared that he and Micah had a conversation because
01:41anytime that things that should be handled internally, in the
01:44locker room in the facility, get out to the public, you got to
01:48address it head on.
01:51There. I'm sorry, but this just goes to show you the total
01:55dysfunction of Dallas. With Bill Belichick allow some dude to
02:01have a podcast that's only played in three of the week 11
02:04games that we've already had. Now we're heading into week 11
02:08Micah Parsons, and you have something to say about a team
02:11you have not participated with here except for what three games
02:15been he's made himself available for and yet you are opening your
02:19mouth and talking about things on a podcast that should only be
02:23left in a locker room here. So this this whole new generation
02:28of the podcast, bros in the locker room now speaking and
02:32talking and trying to fill the airtime. Not great. Then it's
02:36not great. It usually leads to dysfunction. Yeah. And I can
02:40tell you power head coaches that know what they're doing would
02:43never tolerate it. But Mike McCarthy is not one of those
02:46guys.
02:47And again, he was already on the warmest seat, perhaps in the
02:50history of the NFL entering this year after another Dallas
02:54disaster in the postseason, being beat big at home in super
02:59wildcard weekend one and done again by the Green Bay Packers.
03:03Jerry Jones brought him back, but did not give him a lot of
03:06confidence by extending his contract. He is basically a lame
03:10duck head coach, he is going to be gone. It's just a matter of
03:13not if but when might have happened during the regular
03:16season. That I guess remains to be seen. We'll debate in our
03:20second hour. And Joe, to your point, this time of players in
03:25the media while still playing, listen, content's awesome,
03:28right to get the player perspective and maybe a peek
03:31behind the curtain is cool, I guess on what is actually going
03:36on. But if things are bad, this is the exact opposite of what
03:41you want. And boy, oh boy, are things bad elsewhere for Dallas
03:46Dak Prescott met with a specialist in New York. That
03:50miraculous second opinion that could save his season. We heard
03:53from the pro football doc, Dr. David Chow yesterday, it's not
03:56going to happen. So Cooper Rush will be the starter more than
03:59likely, at least for another week, as the Cowboys will be in
04:03primetime once again, Joe, in week 11. On Monday night as they
04:08host the Houston Texans in the Lone Star showdown Houston
04:11seven and a half point road favorite in Dallas.
04:15Yeah, yeah, it's, it's not going to go well. Because there's
04:20unfortunately, a ton of other issues that are standing in the
04:24way of this team, right? New defensive coordinator hasn't
04:28lived up to standards, the defense not, you know, and
04:31granted, they were they were given a lot of challenges early
04:34with the injuries to their edge rushers and everything else. But
04:38I mean, Ben, they're not even competitive in these games,
04:40whether Dak Prescott was there or not. I mean, they're getting
04:42absolutely ripped. So from the top down, this is not a well
04:48constructed football team, nor is it a very well coached
04:52football team. So changes are coming for Dallas.
