00:00Hello and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday. It's a cold start to the day across
00:04many areas with some pockets of frost out there you may have to scrape your windscreens first
00:09thing and certainly you may run into some fog patches as well. The fog has been stubborn across
00:13Northern Ireland through the last few days, still murky conditions here, southern Scotland, northern
00:17England down towards the Midlands. Watch out for some patchy rain and drizzle first thing across
00:21the northwest of Scotland and one or two showers just clipping the far south east of England where
00:26there is a bit more of a breeze. So if you're stepping out first thing, layer up, it is rather
00:32cold and through the morning still damp across the northwest of Scotland. At the same time some
00:37hazy sunshine coming through as that fog breaks up like low cloud lifts, even so a cloudy day
00:44and quite murky across Northern Ireland and some parts of southern Scotland, northwest England.
00:49But some brighter skies elsewhere, some sunshine, a breeze towards the far north of Scotland
00:54and here temperatures around 12 degrees Celsius. Elsewhere where we see that low cloud continue,
01:00that fog just remain in place, temperatures really struggling, so a cold day and also a dull one.
01:06Now through this evening and overnight not a lot of change. High pressure remains to the west of
01:11the UK, more of a breeze towards the east and notice with this onshore wind we'll see some
01:16patchy rain and drizzle continue across the north and the west of Scotland, particularly across the
01:21northwest highlands as well as the islands. Elsewhere some broken clouds as we start the day
01:26on Thursday, a chilly start, again one or two pockets of frost, even one or two patches of fog.
01:32Generally speaking there'll be a fair amount of cloud and damp in the northwest. And here's your
01:36outlook through Friday, well a change is coming our way from the northwest and we'll see some
01:42sharp bursts of rain come in and some stronger winds behind, all courtesy of this cold front
01:48which is sinking southwards. Behind it the air is colder, ahead of it we'll see some murk but also
01:54some brighter skies towards the south and generally speaking changes will continue as
01:58we head through the weekend into next week where things turn a lot colder. I'll see you later.
