00:00Good afternoon and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. It's been
00:04a gloomy start to November for many of us, but it does look like a change is on the way
00:08as we head into the new working week. Before we get there, we have got this weather front
00:11just slipping its way southwards through the end of the weekend. Then it's this area of
00:15high pressure that develops, bringing us some much brighter and sunnier skies than we've
00:19seen recently. But those clearer skies does mean some chilly nights to come as that high
00:23pressure orientates itself across the UK through the start of next week. Back to the rest of
00:29today though, and we do still have quite a bit of cloud around thanks to that weather
00:32front that's just slowly sinking its way southwards through this afternoon, bringing some outbreaks
00:36of rain and drizzle across parts of Wales, central and northern parts of England. One
00:40or two cloud breaks across the very far south of England, but these likely few and far between.
00:44However, further north, there will be some sunshine as we head through the second half
00:47of the day across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland. One or two showers across northwestern
00:51parts of Scotland, perhaps turning a little blustery here, but temperatures will be up
00:55compared to what we saw on Saturday, so feeling pleasant in any sunshine in the north. And
00:58further south, still feeling quite mild under all that cloud and rain. Through the rest
01:03of Sunday, that weather front does continue to push its way southwards, moving quite slowly
01:07at times, bringing some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, particularly over any high ground
01:11across the southern half of the UK. But further north, it's a different story. Plenty of clear
01:15skies overnight, and we will see some mist and fog developing, particularly across parts
01:19of Northern Ireland. It could be quite widespread in places. And those showers do still continue
01:23across the northern half of Scotland, but those generally turning lighter through the
01:27early hours of the morning. Under those clear skies, it will be quite a chilly night to
01:30come. We could see temperatures dropping down into the low single figures, perhaps even
01:34some frost in places, but generally just staying that little bit milder further south under
01:39that cloud as that weather front just lingers across the very far south coast through Monday
01:43morning. It will eventually clear its way southwards as we go through the morning on
01:46Monday, leaving generally a dry and bright day for most of us. Still some of that mist
01:50and fog just lingering across parts of Northern Ireland for a time. But as we go through into
01:55the afternoon, there'll be plenty of sunshine on offer. We will just see one or two isolated
01:59showers skirting the very far east of England, but for most of us, a dry day and plenty of
02:04blue skies to come. Temperatures will be a little closer to average on Monday, generally
02:0812, 13 degrees further south and 10 or 11 further north. But it will be feeling very
02:13pleasant in those sunny skies. Through the rest of Monday evening, those showers do just
02:18continue across eastern coasts of England, generally quite light and scattered. But for
02:21most of us, it will be a dry night to come. Plenty of clear skies on offer. Again, some
02:25mist and fog developing across Northern Ireland, northern parts of England, parts of Scotland
02:29as well, but further south generally staying dry and clear overnight. And that does mean
02:34it will be a dry and bright start to the day on Tuesday and plenty of sunshine on offer
02:37on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. But do make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel
02:41to find out the detail on that later. Bye for now.
