00:00Opened in the Philippines, the very first Tesla Experience Center.

00:16Yesterday, the opening of the very first Tesla Experience Center in the Philippines was allowed.
00:21Present at the opening of the first Tesla Store,
00:24Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs,
00:28Undersecretary Frederick Goh,
00:30Undersecretary Joey Gilas,
00:32and officials of Tesla in the country.
00:34According to Isabel Fan, Regional Director for Southeast Asia of Tesla,
00:38they are working hard to build charging infrastructure
00:42so that the country can achieve zero carbon emission.
00:45They also have four charging stations that are expected to open in a mall this month.
00:50And the company also plans to open additional charging stations
00:55in strategic locations in the country.
00:57Model Y and Model 3 will first be sold by the so-called dealership.
01:01And it is expected that these will be delivered to customers in the country
01:05in the first half of next year.
01:07The price of a Tesla Model Y unit ranges from Php 2.3 to Php 3.2 million,
01:14while the price of a Tesla Model 3 unit ranges from Php 2.1 to Php 3.1 million.
01:20For the National Development Company,
01:22they want to teach the public the benefits of electric vehicles in the environment.
01:27They also see this opportunity when it comes to the environmental impact
01:31and sustainability goals of the country.
01:43This April, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the Department of Energy,
01:48Department of Transportation,
01:50and other agencies to implement the EV Development Plan in the country
01:54that is based on public transport.
01:56The government's target is to achieve 50% EV penetration
02:01to reduce vehicle emissions to fight climate change.
