Lewis Cox and Jonny Drury give their take on West Brom's 0-0 draw against Burnley.
Despite having first half chances, Albion were on the back foot in the second and were fortunate a Burnley goal was chalked off.
The result means there have been just three goals at home this season, two score by Albion.
It is also seven draws in a row - but surprisingly Albion are up to fifth in the table.

00:00baggage fans welcome to expressastar.com unfortunately yet again we have got no
00:15goals to talk about but we've got another draw to talk about as Albion
00:20let's start with a positive start Albion go six games unbeaten they're into fifth
00:25but they cannot score Coxy a nil-nil draw let's rattle them off over six
00:31hours without a goal three goals here all season in the first seven games only
00:35two scored by Albion only two scored by Albion in the first seven games of
00:39Football League season only twice before has there been as little as three goals
00:44scored I think I'm right Coxy that's right from the 70s and 80s I think it
00:49was what's going wrong tell me I'd like to be the gaffer
00:59well they're failing to put the bag of air in the onion bag for a start
01:06I thought it was better tonight the first half was better tonight I thought
01:11and I'm talking about here in home games here of late I mean go back to the last
01:16one the Cardiff one trying to remember they're all blurring a bit but that was
01:21a poor Cardiff team wasn't it and Albion had a lot of chances that then should
01:25have won healthily I think from memory this one an even competitive first half
01:30I thought where Albion looked decent Carlos Corban in there thinks Albion had
01:33the better of the first half fair enough there was some some decent moments yeah
01:37yeah it was that certainly yeah but for me a real struggle in the second half to
01:41create even a chance I graded Ian Garner headed I don't know if he'd gone out to
01:46the fans I saw that yeah great Grady headed over just on the stroke and you
01:50know the clock tipped to 90 and for me that was the only chance of the second
01:53half still went a good six inches plus over the top from Higgins cross I don't
02:00know Johnny I think in my opinion I'm seeing a sort of collective of attackers
02:06just struggling for confidence and belief when they're in the important
02:10positions decision-making you spoke about in the game to me didn't you
02:14decision-making and quality really in that final third and that's not that's
02:18not saying the midfield pair in a cleared of it as well I think they're as
02:22guilty as you know not not joining in not having a right touch pass whatever
02:29it is the first half which was Albion's better off how many shots did we see
02:33blocked and you're saying Grant had two in the space of 30 seconds on you and
02:38when you're doing all right and by the way Grant was Albion's best attacker by
02:42a mile again tonight wasn't he and they're still getting blocked there was
02:45a corner on the stroke of halftime bubbles around six-yard box everyone has
02:49a dig but Burnley can block it just lacks that conviction but conviction it
02:55seems to come naturally when you're you're in the goals and that doesn't it
02:58but I mean without a doubt Johnny that the record in front of goal here is bad
03:02well it's woeful isn't it it's unheard of bad and there's a problem when it's
03:08like that at home because this this is where you want to do your best stuff in
03:11front of your home crowd obviously far more see you here you know you want
03:15opposition to fear coming here as they have on the call Grant in two years
03:18they really haven't in it not so late though it's been very tough here hasn't
03:22it for six seven weeks and I mean let's let's include away as well it's eight
03:28games about a win isn't it yeah it's six draws in a row which is also kind of
03:33unheard of isn't it it's bizarre really I said it the other day but really hard
03:36to kind of pitch at the moment but there's not much I don't think Carlos
03:42Corban will be taking too much from six games or beaten really by any stretch you
03:48know eight without a win there's a very troublesome run there's a good few
03:54crumbs of comfort that I'll be in a still hard to beat or be it I think they
03:59got lucky tonight and they were that refereeing decision I think that's more
04:03than fair to say I mean Jaden Anthony headed it was ruled out that shouldn't
04:06have been burn if in the post as well I think they got fortunate again tonight
04:09but they're still not being beat which is a positive in isolation it is you
04:15look at this game in isolation yeah I've said it we have said it I've said it a
04:17few times you know it's a good point however and I'll be up to fifth after
04:21that result however that excuse for me falls by the wayside I've just listened
04:27to Joby Magenov's talking on Sky Albion have got the quality they have got the
04:31quality they should be doing better the manager should be doing better you know
04:35I've been critical of Corbrandt's maybe selections at times this season certainly
04:39tonight I thought I don't think John Swift showed what he needs to show
04:44coming back to that role didn't try and grab the shirt or didn't do enough to
04:47grab the shirt for me you know it's not just Swift is it no it's not just Swift
04:51Corbrandt's got to tweak it but players are gonna step up I agree that confidence
04:54is low but there's enough quality in there there's enough quality in that
04:58side to be winning games in this division on a consistent basis and you
05:02have to almost you know I said to you whether it's the managers directors to
05:07go and grab games by the scruff of the neck but then at the same time it's
05:10players who've got to step up and grab games you know by the scruff and make
05:15something happen they've got players to make something happen there's only there
05:18was probably a handful of players on that pitch that looked confident the
05:22back four because the back four are just tremendous you know whoever you put in
05:26there and Carl and Grant going forward apart from that Albion just look I don't
05:30know the instruction from their confidence being sucked out of them a
05:33little bit I mean in as we said again in isolation it's a good point against a
05:37side who were you know in the top four those who've been who were fantastic
05:40tonight but Albion have got away one they should have lost 1-0 really because that
05:43was a goal but excuses eight games without a win now excuses kind of stop
05:48you've kind of you've got to stop the rot and you've got to step up and you've
05:51got to take responsibility yeah I don't think we think for a second that the
05:55directive from the management behind closed doors is sitting you off and
05:58don't go forward make chances and don't score is it as a lot of people keep
06:03turning lights off twice in two weeks yeah it's not as bad as the other night
06:07isn't it you still see us oh the lights come on the cameras working that bodes
06:13well yeah the players stepping up absolutely it feels ponderous doesn't it
06:20in the final third like they don't they've lost that sort of natural
06:25knowing what to do when you're in a certain position it'd be a moment where
06:28remember one in the second half where Dobbin is come on early half an hour to
06:32go isn't it part of the decision yeah and Dobbin barely played this season and
06:37obviously not shown enough in training to feature more but be a man or two and
06:42got into a really good position centrally in space 25 yards that just
06:45gives it away we saw it from all the attackers to be honest yeah you know we're
06:52saying that the players the quality's there yeah and Carlos Cobran has a select
06:58group of them to choose from but they have to go and prove it that's a that's a prime
07:02example Lewis Dobbin has turned two players I think he's beaten three players
07:06all together and it's a 10-15 yard pass and it's just straighter two Burnley
07:12players and that's where I kind of feel sorry for Carlos Cobran because he gets
07:16the flack off the fans but then at the same time you know backing that argument
07:21you've got to be able to make that pass I'm sorry you know and there's
07:25collective responsibility on both sides you know the manager can change things
07:28and get Albion moving but also the players have got a team John Swift I
07:32think got booked in the second half after having a good position on the edge of the box
07:36giving it away and fouling his man you know there's probably countless examples
07:39for all of the attackers you know Josh Madger wasn't at it tonight was he
07:42really I say Grant the pick of the bunch really he was firm forward almost
07:48alongside Madger just a really really goal shy side at the moment I mean I'd
07:53love to be able to bring more of the answers here I think Carlos Cobran would
07:57love to be able to bring the answers because he's you know he's not he's not
07:59daft he knows all is not well at the moment in that regard yeah I mean I
08:05write it up in a moment I did ask you know there was a sound of frustration
08:11that's at halftime and at the end wasn't there and not especially I mean a lot of
08:17fans had left to truth be told by the final whistle but there were sounds of
08:21boos hardly surprising six and a half hours
08:24without a goal yes I'll be an avid lost but Carlos said to me that he didn't
08:28quite hear that himself in terms of the frustration the boos but he said he
08:31understands it he gets it obviously he knows they're eight without a win he's
08:35sorry I'm even yawning now I'm not bored well I won't take it personally don't
08:40worry but you know that's eight without a win I mentioned to him that I'll be a
08:44quick turnaround go to hole on Sunday struggling hole in managers on the
08:48drink now isn't he from what I've read it's Carlos's 100th game in charge of
08:54the club obviously recently past two years it's a nice milestone but he's in
08:57absolutely no mood to chat about any of that and I kind of said to him you know
09:04he's changing personnel in games I think a couple of games in a row he'd made
09:07four changes to his team made three changes tonight a couple in attack
09:10fellow Swift back in just saying you know I know I mentioned Grant being
09:14further up front with Madger as a two-bar kind of asked him what what else
09:18formation you know tactically can you can you do obviously he spoke about that
09:22obviously report that and write write that up but something needs to change on
09:29the pitch doesn't it and be that a big tweak in formation you know people have
09:34talked to me about back three back five maybe that changes something further
09:37forward you don't really want to touch the defense at the moment to you it's
09:40watertight it's been pretty immaculate all right maybe got away with one
09:44tonight but yes it's tough times in it testing times the stats make for awful
09:51largely awful reading don't they some of the points away from home have been
09:54decent in in isolation you say this one tonight is but not in it not in a
09:59sequence when you haven't won in eight and some of the stats are as
10:01mind-bogglingly bad as they are in terms of home goals here it's just not good
10:05enough so yeah another tough one they're just nowhere near enough in the
10:11second we must remember Burnley they're struggling but they're a decent side
10:15aren't they more than decent they're a Premier League relegated side with good
10:17players still on a big budget but I've been just did not do enough in that
10:20second half to go home and again they didn't much for Carlos Corban to ponder
10:25as he tries to turn it around and get Albion I'll just win it I'll just score
10:30again but winning final score here at the Hawthorns yet again Albion nil
10:36Burnley nil all the rest of your action you know where to go expressingstar.com
