00:18Nanay Salve took advantage of the sun's rays to plow her rice fields

00:25after it got wet and mixed with mud because of the taste of the typhoon Christine.

00:31She is trying to separate the grains of rice from the mixed mud and garbage.

01:35Because of this, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was able to distribute 10,000 pesos of aid

01:43from the Presidential Assistance Program to farmers, fisherfolks and families

01:49of 10,000 qualified beneficiaries from the provinces of Albay and Camarinesur starting tomorrow.

01:56According to Department of Agriculture Bicol Spokesperson Lovelia Guarin,

02:01the qualified beneficiaries are registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture

02:08whose livelihood was affected by the taste of the typhoon in the Bicol Region.

02:15The qualified beneficiaries of the Presidential Assistance to Farmers and Fisherfolks

02:21are listed in the RSBSA of farmers whose livelihoods were severely affected

02:27and there is no hope for their crops to recover.

02:31They will receive 10,000 pesos cash assistance starting tomorrow.

02:37Aside from this, the Department of Agriculture is also prepared for the needs of affected farmers in the region.

02:46In the DAB Corregional Office, our seed reserve is ready for calamities like this.

02:52We have 4,000 bag certified seeds with 20 kilos per sack.

02:57This is good for 2,000 hectares.

03:00For the rice seed growers who were affected by the typhoon,

03:04we have a reserve of 383 bag registered seeds which is good for 191 hectares.

03:11Our dry season cropping is already on set so our hybrid rice seeds are already available.

03:19We also have 56,000 bags for the six provinces of Bicol.

03:24We also have fertilizer assistance in a form of discount voucher.

03:29We have also prepared vegetable seeds and drugs and anti-stress biologics for our livestock.

03:37According to the Department of Agriculture Bicol,

03:40more than 2 billion pesos worth of rice seeds were left by Hurricane Christine in the Bicol Region.
