00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. recognized the role of teachers in upholding education and education of the next generation of our country.
00:10And in the inauguration of National Teachers Month, the President assured that his administration will continue to strive to meet their needs.

00:22You teachers did not just impart the wisdom necessary for us to flourish, you have also instilled in us the values that guide us through life's challenges.

00:43The hard work and dedication of the teachers was given by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in the inauguration of 2024 National Teachers Month.
00:53The teachers are close to President Marcos' heart.
00:56His wife, First Lady Liza Araneto Marcos, and his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, are also his professors.
01:03The President witnessed the sacrifices of the teachers, from their teaching to helping the communities that have lost their jobs.

02:18According to Executive Order No. 174, the teachers are being given the opportunity to lead their profession,

02:31There are no longer teachers in public schools who will retire in an entry-level position.
02:37The President also insisted on giving support to fulfill their duties.
02:42Under the Return to Teaching Act, the teachers left the teaching allowance.
02:48And from Php 5,000, it will be increased to Php 10,000 effective next year.
02:55In addition to this, the teachers' Php 7,000 medical allowance.
