00:00Sunday night football in Minneapolis between the Vikings and the Colts of
00:07course Indianapolis a huge story getting ready for the week 9 Sunday slate Shane
00:12Steichen the head man in Indy making the call benching fourth overall pick from
00:172023 Anthony Richardson in favor of the near 40 year old quarterback in Joe
00:23Flacco and DRS I thought that would mean we would see a lot of offense on Sunday
00:29night that Flacco would be ripping and rearing back there I was incorrect
00:33Indianapolis did not score a single offensive touchdown a scoop and score
00:37and a return on a fumble was the only touchdown the only scoring we saw in the
00:43opening half but Sam Donald overcoming the turnovers he threw two INT's did
00:49have that strip sack on a questionable sack when he was banged right in the
00:53head with an arm across the helmet regardless the Vikings overcome the
00:58three turnovers and Sam Donald throws three touchdowns in the second half at
01:02the Vikings get back into the win column improving to 6 and 2 21 to 13 over the
01:08Colts Minnesota covers as a five and a half point home favorite you had some
01:12tremendous plays out of Sam Donald then some tremendously bad plays but as long
01:16as that defense under Brian Flores was absolutely click and didn't give up an
01:19offensive touchdown yesterday you can lean on that because Darnold if you just
01:22look at 24 30 excuse me 28 of 34 for 290 you love that three touchdown
01:27passes but the two interceptions bad and also the fumble that he took in the
01:30pocket which was really bad as well still passed a rating of 107 you'll live
01:34with that out of Sam Donald who theoretically is your backup quarterback
01:37they improved the 6 and 2 but also the question marks coming up on the Colts
01:40like Anthony Richardson wouldn't made a difference in that game overall but
01:44Flacco didn't look his best three sacks all that last drive I believe for 20
01:49total yards his QBR rating though which is stacked out of 100 was 14.6 this
01:54wasn't the gun-slinging Joe Flacco that we're used to seeing in the past letting
01:57it rip down field maybe that's a lot to do with Brian Flores disguising those
02:01defenses and certainly bringing the heat on him Jonathan Taylor pedestrian 13
02:04carries for 48 yards big fumble to start out that game maybe that game would have
02:08got off on a different trajectory where you might have had a double-digit lead
02:11for the Colts to be able to hold on but no excuses for the Colts you're up a
02:14touchdown at the break you should be able to close that game out but the
02:17offense really responded for the Minnesota Vikings and that was back to
02:20Justin Jefferson the best wide receiver in football 7 for 137 an average of
02:2419.6 yards the guys open every single play just get him the football solid
02:29win for the Minnesota Vikings I'm not in the gutter for the Colts just yet
02:32because they're still in that divisional race but it's apparently looking like
02:35they're gonna start Joe Flacco next week as well
