00:00While distributing financial assistance, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the government agencies to do their best to ease the effects of the calamity on the people.

00:19President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributed around 60 million pesos worth of financial assistance to 6 towns in Batangas affected by the Christine earthquake.
00:29These are the towns of Talisay, Laurel, Agoncillo, Cuenca, Lemery and Balete.
00:35I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to all Filipinos affected by the Christine earthquake.
00:44We celebrate this day as National Day of Mourning under Proclamation No. 728.
00:53We know that it is not easy to overcome the pain that you are going through.
00:58But we hope that with the support of our government, you will be able to start again.
01:06From the President's office, we will distribute around 60 million pesos worth of financial assistance distributed by the DSWD
01:14to the municipalities of Batangas and Talisay affected by the Christine earthquake.
01:27Around 10,000 pesos will be received by the fishermen and fishermen affected by this earthquake.
01:35At the same time, the President also distributed to the families of the victims of the earthquake.
01:42More than 60 towns in Batangas were affected by landslides and landslides during the calamity.
01:49President Marcos also ordered government agencies to distribute financial assistance

02:52To avoid flooding, especially in low-lying areas, President Marcos ordered the National Irrigation Administration,
03:00Department of Energy, DNR, and Metropolitan Water Works and Sewerage System
03:06to slowly reduce the water in the dams before the quake arrives.
03:10The NDRMC and other government agencies were also ordered to investigate their actions
03:19under the disaster response so that we can quickly provide assistance to those affected by the disaster.
03:27The Department of Public Works and Highways was also ordered by President Marcos to look at the slope protection designs
03:34or the design of the roads and bridges so that they can be stronger and fit the changing climate patterns such as heavy rains.
03:44The President was also ordered to complete the Taal Lake Circumferential Road
03:48to reduce the travel time between Talisay, Agoncillo, and Laurel.
