00:00You are watching Mediun TV Africa, thank you for joining us for this round of news,
00:19let's see the headlines.
00:20The cultural year Qatar-Morocco continues, Adora, the princess of Al-Asna, in the company
00:25of His Excellency Shehra al-Miasa bint Hamad al-Thani, inaugurated yesterday the Moroccan
00:32pavilion of Al-Madhreb. Details in a few moments.
00:35It is the last straight line of a presidential election, the most indecisive in American
00:43history. Kamala Harris and Donald Trump play their trump cards during this last campaign
00:47weekend.
00:48The United Nations organization qualifies as apocalyptic the situation in Gaza. According
00:55to the UN heads of agencies, all the inhabitants of the north of the Palestinian enclave are
01:00at imminent risk. We meet again right away for the development.
01:04Welcome ladies and gentlemen. Without further ado, let's go to Adora, where the exceptional
01:12relations between Morocco and Qatar are more than a fixed curve. The cultural year Qatar-Morocco
01:17is honoring this fraternal relationship between the two countries, a major event to which the
01:24princess of Al-Asna is taking part, accompanied by His Excellency Shehra al-Miasa bint Hamad
01:31al-Thani. She inaugurated yesterday the Moroccan pavilion of Al-Madhreb at the Islamic Art
01:38Center, a space that offers a unique perspective on the history, culture and future vision of
01:45Morocco. For more details, let's listen to Keltoum el-Hassia, special envoy of Medea
01:50TV Adora.
01:53His Highness Princess Al-Asna and His Excellency Shehra al-Miasa bint Hamad al-Thani
01:59proceeded to the inauguration of Dar al-Madhreb. It is a cultural space that celebrates the
02:05rich heritage and creativity of Morocco. The Dar al-Madhreb pavilion has a surface of
02:121,200 square meters and is inspired by the Qsar Eid bin Hibdo, a site inscribed in the
02:20UNESCO World Heritage List, embodying the essence of the techniques of land construction.
02:29The pavilion is part of the program of the Catarmaroc Cultural Year 2024. It is divided into
02:39four thematic areas. There is the light land area, which is a section that invites visitors
02:47to discover the sensorial and cultural richness. There is also a gathering area, which represents
02:54a space for traditional equestrian shows, and the land of passion, which is an area dedicated
03:01to the deep love of Morocco for football. The exhibition traces the country's football
03:08career, from the first clubs to its impressive performance at the FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022
03:17as well as its preparations to welcome the FIFA World Cup 2030.
03:25Still in the framework of the Catarmaroc Cultural Year, the Princess of Al Arasna and
03:30His Excellency Sheikh El Meyassa bin Hamad al-Thani visited yesterday two exhibitions,
03:37Splendor de l'Atlas, a journey through the heritage of Morocco, and Extasif Maroc,
03:44highlighting the cultural diversity of Morocco and the richness of its heritage.
03:50There are 200 unpublished works of art, among others, which tell the history, society and
03:57artistic expressions of the kingdom. This exhibition will be open to the public until March 8, 2025.
04:04The Kingdom of Morocco congratulates itself on the adoption of Resolution 2756 of the UN Security Council,
04:15extending the mandate of the UNHCR until October 31, 2025, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
04:23of the African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad. This resolution intervenes in a context
04:29marked by the irreversible trajectory imprinted by His Majesty the King at the dossier of territorial
04:37integrity of the kingdom, through the growing support of permanent members of the Security Council
04:44and the country influencing the Moroccanity of the SARA and the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative,
04:49as well as the pursuit of the withdrawal and recognition of the precise absurdity of the Ministry
04:54in a communiqué. The adopted resolution preserves all the achievements of Morocco.
05:02The UN Security Council has reaffirmed its support for the Moroccan Autonomy Plan.
05:08This is a new diplomatic breakthrough in Morocco concerning the question of its SARA,
05:13according to the analysis of Zakaria Abou Daraab, professor of international relations at the
05:18University of Mohamed V of Rabat.
05:20We know very well that there are strong relations at the level of this Council,
05:24made up of five permanent members, but also of ten non-permanent members,
05:28who are voted or elected every two years.
05:31Secondly, we could say that since 2007 until today, there have been notable evolutions in this regard.
05:39Even the tone of the UN Security Council on aspects remains unchanged.
05:45Of course, it is a recognition of the credible and serious efforts deployed by Morocco,
05:50but at the same time, today, if we read the resolution you mentioned at the outset, 2756,
05:56it recalls the evolutions on the ground, on the issue of the Moroccan SARA.
06:00By evolution on the ground, international recognitions,
06:04the continuous and constant support coming from several countries,
06:09which are developed, whether African, Arab or other European in particular,
06:15but also at the level of the Caribbean, at the level of Latin America.
06:19And thirdly, evolution on the ground, also in relation to openings of consulates,
06:26or missions of representation in general,
06:31at the UNOADDARLA.
06:32So we see very well that this is an international practice generalised and legal on the ground.
06:38Now, the Security Council, the UN in general,
06:41because we must not forget the General Assembly and the 4th Commission,
06:45will have to adapt to this movement in terms of effectiveness on the ground,
06:50based on these facts, because they will have to be transformed, in my opinion,
06:55into diplomatic, legal or juridico-diplomatic actions,
06:59to finally make it the essential basis to achieve a mutually acceptable political solution,
07:05based on compromise, obviously according to the wishes or the approach of the Security Council.
07:13Place now to a tour of the US presidential palace.
07:28Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on board today,
07:31drumming on their last campaign weekend of an American presidential election,
07:36with results more unpredictable than ever and expected all over the world.
07:40The Democratic candidate will be again in the key states,
07:43which will decide on Tuesday's scrutiny in Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.
07:50Harris will try to convince the last indecisive that she is the antidote to Trump.
07:56While the former Republican president accused her on Friday in Michigan
08:00of the Biden administration and Kamala Harris of having failed economically.
08:07At least 70 million Americans have already voted in correspondence and in an anticipated way.
08:14In 2020, 155 million were pronounced for the presidential election,
08:19a complex election with indirect universal suffrage.
08:22Pierre-Louis Raymond, political analyst,
08:25explains to us more about this electoral process exclusively American.
08:30Yes, indeed, it is an electoral process exclusively American,
08:34because a number of voters have already voted before voters move to isolated areas.
08:41What must be distinguished is the vote by correspondence of suffrages expressed in the scrutiny.
08:48Because you have, in fact, in the United States, 538 major voters.
08:52This means that you do not vote directly for the candidate.
08:56And among the voters, two categories must be distinguished.
09:00The people who will move on the days planned for the physical vote
09:05and the people who have already started voting by correspondence.
09:11And these people, of course, they express votes.
09:14They do not express votes directly.
09:17And the major voters, in fact, what will they receive?
09:20They receive both the votes expressed by the voters who vote by correspondence,
09:26the votes, and the votes that are expressed in the suffrages.
09:29But the major voters, they also have their voice in the chapter.
09:34And we have seen in the history of the American elections
09:39that some major voters did not necessarily respect the votes they received.
09:45So that's a lot less true today.
09:47But what remains true, despite everything, is that the outcome of the election
09:52cannot be made only by the physical vote in the isolated areas,
09:57because the vote by correspondence introduces a certain number of elements,
10:05a certain number of data, which makes that ...
10:09I like to say that it's as if you put all the votes in a big checker
10:13and that at the last moment, it was ultimately the major voters
10:18according to what they were going to send as a vote that was going to decide.
10:23And so, indeed, you have a very large complexity.
10:27Donald Trump has declared himself against the war in the Middle East
10:31during an interview in public with the conservative animator Tucker Carlson in Arizona.
10:37The Republican candidate again released Thursday, I quote,
10:41we bombed the whole Middle East, then we left.
10:44What did we get? Nothing.
10:46We bombed to death, we destroyed everything.
10:49Trump added, said, convinced Bush to go to the Middle East.
10:53They went there and killed millions of people.
10:57Trump also stressed what a big mistake.
11:009 billion dollars spent on that, to kill millions of people.
11:04Destroy everything and nothing good for our people.
11:07End of quote.
11:09Let's go into the Middle East and destroy the whole place and kill millions of people.
11:13So they went in, but I was never a fan of China.
11:39And then in the Middle East, the fall of a rocket on a building
11:43killed at least 19 people.
11:45Today in Tira, in the center of Israel.
11:48The Israeli army claims to have identified projectile roofs shot from Lebanon.
11:53Three days ago, rocket shots had killed seven people.
11:57In Mitroglou, in the center of Israel.
12:00The Israeli army claims to have identified projectile roofs shot from Lebanon.
12:05Three days ago, rocket shots had killed seven people.
12:08In Mitroglou, in the center of Israel.
12:11Including four Thai agricultural workers.
12:18This is the end of this report.
