00:00Some residents of Laurel, Batangas told us their experience of experiencing the taste of Christianity.

00:34the flood that was forced upon them by Hurricane Cristina.

00:42It was God's will for Janice to come to their town during the time of Hurricane Cristina.

00:48She has five children and the youngest has a cerebral palsy.

00:54They immediately went to the evacuation center.

00:57The evacuation center itself, which was supposed to provide them with shelter,

01:02was flooded due to the flash flood.

01:06We did not expect what we are going to experience.

01:10It is very difficult, especially for people like me.

01:14We have many children.

01:16Of course, I am the youngest.

01:18Maybe it will suddenly rain heavily again and we will have to stay at home.

01:25Their house was also flooded due to the landslide.

01:31Due to the landslide in Laurel, Batangas,

01:34every day, Marilina has to cross the river to be able to shop in the market.

01:40She also told us about the hardship faced by her family

01:44and her six children during the storm.

01:47Because of the storm, we were not able to go outside.

01:50Because of the strong wind in our house,

01:54even though we were all wet, we could not go outside.

01:58When we go outside, we get hurt.

02:01It is different now.

02:03What we are experiencing now is like a disaster.

02:06Many people have died.

02:08That is what is really hard.

02:10Her problem is that she does not know where to get money for her daily expenses.

02:15She was supposed to receive a decent living,

02:19but she was not able to do it due to the storm.

02:23The road was cut off, so in order to reach the cemetery,

02:27they had to use a rope and cross the flooded river.

02:33Officials from DPWH also went to investigate the damaged road.

02:38The local government and DPWH are also carrying out a clearing operation

02:44on the roads that are not accessible due to the landslides.

02:50We will continue to help and help each other.

02:57because our countrymen need to see that nothing can be left behind in the province of Batangas.

03:05The Batangas PDRMO also carried out a clearing operation

03:08on the number of people who were affected by the storm in Batangas.

03:13As of now, there are already 57 people affected by the storm in the province of Batangas.

03:16And 13 more people were affected by the storm in the province of Cristina.

03:20They cleared the first 64 casualties

03:24because 5 of them were severely affected not because of the storm in the province of Batangas.
