00:33The meeting was part of the Philippine Economic Briefing in London.
00:37The closed fishing season for round scud or galunggong in northeastern Palawan
00:42starts tomorrow, November 1, and lasts until January 31, 2025.
00:46During this time, certain fishing methods are banned to protect the fish species
00:51and others during breeding.
00:53The Government Service Insurance System or GSIS has launched the Multi-Purpose Loan or MPL-LITE program
01:00to help members access quick funds for unexpected expenses.
01:04Loans range from 5,000 to 50,000 pesos, with flexible repayment terms of 6, 12, to up to 24 months.
01:12Applications are made through the GSIS Touch-Up, and funds are credited within three days.
01:17PhilHealth has removed its Single Period of Confinement or SPC rule,
01:22allowing members to claim benefits for readmissions on the same illness within 90 days.
01:27This change will help patients with recurring conditions,
01:30as the SPC rule had previously denied 26,750 claims in 2023.
