00:00Good afternoon. There's plenty of autumnal sunshine across England and Wales today, but
00:04wet and windy in the northwest. Having a look at the bigger picture, we've got a ridge of
00:09higher pressure extending across the south, but the next frontal system already moving
00:13through and that will gradually sink its way south and eastwards as we go through Monday,
00:17introducing a lot of cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle. But back to this afternoon,
00:23England and Wales seeing a fine afternoon with plenty of lengthy spells of sunshine
00:28turning cloudier across northeastern parts of England, but further across Northern Ireland
00:33and Scotland, especially western areas, it's going to be turning increasingly damp with
00:38outbreaks of rain that could turn quite heavy at times over the hills. It'll be feeling
00:42chillier here too with the breeze, so temperatures coming up 9 or 10 degrees. Further towards
00:48the south after a chilly start, we'll see temperatures rising 14 or 15 degrees, so not
00:54quite as mild as Saturday. But as we go through Sunday evening, this band of cloud and rain
01:01will continue to sink its way south and eastwards, could turn heavy at times across parts of
01:06Cumbria, so a dull end to the weekend to come as that gradually sinks its way south and
01:11eastwards. But there will be a lot of cloud around tonight, so that will help keep temperatures
01:16up, so it's not going to be as chilly to start Monday morning compared to today. Generally
01:22lows 13 or even 14 degrees. So a mild start out there, but a dull day to contend with.
01:30A lot of cloud across the country. There may be some breaks in the cloud towards the far
01:34southwest, but rain will persist across parts of Wales as well. And then into the afternoon,
01:40we may see some glimmers of sunshine towards the southeast too, and maybe across eastern
01:45parts of Scotland and northeast England. But otherwise, temperatures generally holding
01:50up 14, 15 degrees in the best of the sunshine towards the south. We may even see 16 or 17 degrees.
01:59So as we go through Monday evening and overnight, well, not too much changes staying largely
02:04cloudy overnight. There may be some breaks to allow some mist and fog, but on the whole
02:08cloud, outbreaks of rain and drizzle on and off and murky towards the far south and west.
02:15So that gradually clears through on Monday and then higher pressure becomes more established
02:20Tuesday, Wednesday and into Thursday. So for halftime, it is going to be largely dry, but
02:27again, often cloudy as well. So it's not going to be water or sunshine, but it should be
02:32largely dry for anyone trick or treating as we go through Thursday evening. But for more
02:37details on all of that, make sure to hit subscribe so you don't miss an update and I'll catch
02:42you soon. Bye bye.
