00:00Philippines, we have an important announcement from our government tonight that will be delivered by DILG Secretary John Vick Remulia

00:06as well as the new instructions of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in helping and responding to our affected countrymen

00:14following the situation in Baguio-Cristi. Good evening, Secretary.

00:20Good evening. Good evening to all of you.

00:23I am here to share with you the message of our President that our search and rescue teams have already been deployed

00:33and they will be entering Naga now.

00:38The area field emergency hospital will also be deployed by air and will probably arrive in Naga tomorrow

00:48for those who can't make it to the hospital, our DOH has an emergency field hospital that will be deployed there.

00:55Metro Manila has already been hit. Cavite, Batangas, Laguna have been hit badly.

01:00We are waiting for reports from other provinces. We are in constant touch.

01:05But all the efforts of our government, especially the DSWD and DPWH, have deployed all the resources to help all those affected.

01:16Don't worry, the government is on top of it.

01:20Yes, Secretary. Thank you very much.

01:21But is it important for President R. Marcos, Jr. to help our countrymen who are severely affected by the Baguio-Cristi?

01:33It is important at all means possible to get to them as quick as possible.

01:38We are just waiting for the road to Daan, Quezon to slow down.

01:54They are already there, but aside from that, all the efforts of the government are at the disposal of the LGUs if they need it.

02:02You mentioned the streets. Secretary, how is our coordination with the DPWH to ensure that the major thoroughfares will pass when it comes to the delivery of relief goods?

02:15That's why we declared that there will be no entry for everyone so that no one will leave the house.

02:21The DPWH is fully deployed. Their deployment rate is 100 percent.

02:27They are on standby. Their road clearing operations are 24 hours. They will not stop even if it rains heavily.

02:34We are waiting for the reports, but it will be possible for all of them to go to Bicol.

02:39All right. How is our coordination with the Department of Energy when it comes to the supply of electricity?

02:46We understand that this is also an important issue when it comes to hospitals and evacuation centers.

02:51The supply of electricity is not a problem. According to Secretary of Energy, he is in constant touch with the electric cooperatives that are affected.

03:08All of their resources are deployed and we should have power back in Naga in no time.
