00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is sure that he will be able to get enough food for the victims of the Christine storm.

00:07But the DSWD is ready even before the storm hit.

00:11This is the national news of Kenneth Paciente.

00:16No one should be hungry.

00:17That is one of the directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in the DSWD in the face of the taste of the Christine storm.

00:24According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,

00:27it is not just the distribution of aid and rescue operations that the Executive Branch wants to focus on.

00:32The President also insisted that there should be enough food for those affected by the storm.

00:37You can expect that this will continue.

00:39That is the instruction of our beloved President, that no family or victim of this calamity will be hungry.

00:45That is why the DSWD also insisted that there should be enough supply of aid in the face of the lack of action of the government in the effect of the storm.

00:52In fact, even before the storm hit, more than 170,000 Family Food Packs or FFPs were pre-positioned in Bicol.

01:01There are still 121,000 left.

01:03And they will not wait for the supply to run out.

01:05That is why additional 100,000 Family Food Packs are being sent to Bicol.

01:10Before we felt the effect of the Christine storm,

01:14our national stockpile, the Family Food Packs that are distributed in all of our warehouses across the country,

01:22is less than 2 million pieces.

01:29we have 1.9826 million Family Food Packs.

01:35It was reduced from yesterday until now because we are releasing it.

01:38So we're all, we're ready.

01:40In fact, I talked to Mayor Legasion yesterday.

01:46I also talked to our Acting Governor of Albay, Vice Governor Glenda.

01:51And our assurance to them is that even though they are the first line of defense, the local government units,

01:56the national government is ready to increase or increase their supply.

02:01It is said that the help that will be given to the affected individuals will be in time when the Christine storm will leave the country.

02:07Once the residents can enter their homes after the storm and realize the extent of the damage,

02:13the DSWD will enter again to extend financial assistance, together with DSUD,

02:23Whenever a person enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility,

03:01That will serve the Mindanao and the Eastern Seaboard of Visayas-Mindanao.

03:05That's very prone to typhoon.

03:08The OCD is already on red alert to speed up the action on the typhoon.

03:12The rubber boats needed in the vehicle, particularly in Naga, are already being planted.

03:16The government's priority is also the rescue operations.

03:19The OCD said that the resources are sufficient but the flood level is still high in some places.
