00:00Rescue units from Eastern Visayas, in the area of Baguio, in Cabiculan, were the first to be dispatched.
00:05That is the news of Sally Althea.
00:08The government continues to distribute aid to those affected by Hurricane Christine in Bicol.
00:15More than Php 20 million is the total amount of aid distributed by the government
00:20that was distributed to 345,548 families or 1,669,507 people affected by Hurricane Christine in Bicol Region.
00:32According to the Office of the Civil Defense Region 5,
00:36Php 20 million is the total amount of Family Food Packs
00:40received by the affected families from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 5.
00:46Php 274,000 is the total amount of Packed Hot Meals
00:51distributed by the local government of Catanduanes and Puduran in Albay and others in need of aid.
00:58Water is gradually being supplied to some of the affected areas here,
01:02but there are still some remaining in evacuation centers.
01:07More than 47,000 families or more than 183,000 individuals
01:13are currently staying in more than 4,000 evacuation centers in the 6 provinces of Bicol.
01:20The majority are in the provinces of Albay and Camarinasur,
01:23where Hurricane Christine left a heavy downpour.
01:26Also because of the rapid road clearing operations of DPWH
01:30and the disaster risk reduction management council,
01:34the distribution of aid became faster.
01:38The search, rescue, and retrieval operations are also continuing
01:43in the provinces of Camarinasur, where there is still a lot of flooding.
