00:00The Queensland LNP, the election, have revealed their pre-election commitments will cost $7.12
00:09billion and they won't be making any additional borrowings to fund those.
00:13Now, they're going to create a department called the Queensland Government Consulting.
00:18Now, that department would look to cut the expenditure on private consulting that the
00:23LNP has said has blown out.
00:26The LNP says that it can save the state almost $7 billion by doing this.
00:31Now, Labor has also revealed their costings today.
00:34They say their pre-election commitments will cost almost $10 billion and that will be funded
00:39through additional borrowings.
00:41Now, that funds things like the 50 cent public transport fares, the opening of 50 new GP
00:47bulk billing clinics, as well as free lunches for state school kids.
00:51Now, Labor Treasurer Cameron Dick says the LNP's plan doesn't stack up.
00:56He says there's simply not that money there to cut and the LNP will have to make cuts
01:01to the public sector to fund those promises.
01:04Now, the LNP Shadow Treasurer David Janetzky says that the Labor Party is simply not delivered
01:10on any of the promises that it's made around spending and only the LNP can rein in those
01:15cuts and debt.
01:17Now, over 1.2 million Queenslanders have already cast their votes at early voting centres ahead
01:22of polling day on Saturday, which is around a third of the voting population.
