Heavy Rain Fall in Anantapur : ఉమ్మడి అనంతపురం జిల్లాలో సోమవారం రికార్డుస్థాయి వర్షం కురిసింది. భారీ వర్షానికి నగరానికి ఆనుకుని ఉన్న పండమేరు ఉద్ధృతంగా ప్రవహిస్తోంది. కనగానపల్లి చెరువు కట్ట తెగిపోవడంతో అనంతపురం గ్రామీణ మండలంలోని రామకృష్ణ కాలనీ, కళాకారుల కాలనీ, ఇందిరమ్మ కాలనీ, జగనన్న కాలనీల్లోకి ఐదు అడుగులమేర వరద నీరు చేరింది. ఇళ్లు, వాహనాలు నీటమునగడంతో ప్రజలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారు.
ముష్టూరు వద్ద హైదరాబాద్-బెంగళూరు జాతీయ రహదారిపై వరద కారణంగా రాకపోకలు నిలిచిపోయాయి. అర్ధరాత్రి ప్రవాహాన్ని గుర్తించకపోవడంతో మూడు బస్సులు వరదలో చిక్కుకున్నాయి. రహదారి పక్కన ఉన్న పెట్రోల్ బంకును వరదనీరు ముంచెత్తింది.
