00:00In accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:03the Department of the Interior and Local Government

00:07has prepared all LGUs in the places where the Christine storm will pass.

00:12The DILG also recommended to suspend all classes until tomorrow.

00:18This is what Clayzell Pardilla reported.

00:22On Wednesday morning,

00:24it is expected that the Christine storm will hit the province of Isabela

00:28Before that happens,

00:30the Department of the Interior and Local Government

00:34in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:38has already alerted the local governments and other branches of the agency.

00:42Evacuation centers and possible assistance are ready.

00:47All units have been mobilized.

00:49All local government units have been informed.

00:52No matter where it will pass,

00:53all local government units, all civil defense units have been alerted.

00:58I think we're prepared.

00:59Because of the Christine storm,

01:01the DILG recommended to the local governments

01:05to suspend all classes in Luzon

01:09from today until tomorrow, October 23.

01:13But the agency clarified that it still depends on the decision of the LGUs.

01:19The most feared thing that the Christine storm will affect

01:22is the 30 million population.

01:2518,000 barangays are likely to be flooded

01:28and will experience landslides.

01:31The Executive Board of the Department of the Interior

01:34is encouraging the peaceful maintenance of the roads

01:36and the celebration of Christmas.

01:38The DILG will double the presence of the police

01:41in public and public places.

01:44We've instructed the PNP to double their presence,

01:47especially in the malls,

01:49in the public sector transportation,

01:52and in the LRT and MRT.
